The Order of Fire Offering of the Noble Mañjuśrī-nāma-saṃgīti, Supreme Bodhi. The Order of Fire Offering of the Noble Mañjuśrī-nāma-saṃgīti. Supreme Bodhi. In Indian language: Ārya Mañjuśrī-nāma-saṃgīti-nāma-homa-krama. In Tibetan: The Order of Fire Offering of the Noble Mañjuśrī-nāma-saṃgīti. Homage to Mañjuśrī, the courageous one of wisdom! The yogi who abides in the two truths, possesses stainless splendor, and is endowed with the supreme Dharma of the four stages, I shall explain the ritual of fire offering according to the two stages. Now, by the power of the mantra of the *Nāmasaṃgīti*, what is spoken here, for the purpose of pacifying, one performs the pacifying action; for the purpose of prosperity, one performs the increasing action; subjugation is attraction; and wrathful is destruction. Its meaning will be explained extensively: the yogi who possesses compassion and joy, for the sake of benefiting himself and others, has spoken of pacifying, increasing, subjugating, and so forth. At the beginning of the empowerment is pacifying; then increasing; then subjugating and wrathful; and finally, all actions. The fire pit and the placement of mudras, the time and direction, the offerings, the method of placement and the posture, the kindling wood, firewood, and ladle, the stages of yogic concentration, the kusha grass, fire, and substances to be burned, inviting and making offerings to it, offering substances, praising, and prostrating, visualizing as the deity, inviting, requesting to abide, and offering a seat, increasing by applying the four increasing seals, offering praise and offering with the ladle, the subsequent offerings are made in the same way as before, then praise and prostration, and finally requesting to depart, then the fire deity and, according to the previous order, offering with the remaining substances, and finally requesting to depart. Then speaking, afterwards, with joy, offering substances, in accordance with the order, whatever the yogi possesses, offering properly and truly. Among these, first, the order of the fire pit is shown: the shape of the fire pit for pacifying is of two kinds: it should be made round, or like a lotus. Its opening is four fingers, and its width and height are also the same. Its depth is one cubit, and its length is also one cubit. Outside of that, a lotus garland of four fingers wide.
