The Ritual of the Mandala Called "Glorious and Vast" The Ritual of the Mandala Called "Glorious and Vast" In Sanskrit: Śrīmānudararāma maṇḍala nopika. In Tibetan: The Ritual of the Mandala Called "Glorious and Vast". Homage to the glorious Vajra Dharma! The great square Vajradhara place, By the five secret mantras gathered, Achieving the Vajra Vehicle, To that vehicle, I pay homage. With a hundred and ten aspects, Completely surrounded by samādhi, Thus gone ones and great Vajra, Adorned with jewels, lotuses, and so on. On the thirteenth supreme ground, Taught by all the Buddhas, Possessing the nature of non-duality, To that, I bow with my head. Having paid homage to all the Sugatas, The Vajra master and disciple, Accomplishing all siddhis, greatly praised, The mandala ritual will be explained. Therein, first, the great Vajradhara master, having become one who holds the appearance of a Buddha, in accordance with meditation, dwells in a mountain cave or river or pond, and so on. Possessing good companions, having first performed the approach, by way of the ritual of the fire offering of Samantabhadra, all obstacles are to be destroyed, and all directions are bound, and the sky of the mandala's ground is bound. Focusing on the Tathagatas in the ten directions without limit, twenty offerings are made, and the essence is held. Like a vajra, the assembly of the means of accomplishment, oneself is to accomplish, and in one's own heart, a vajra lotus is visualized, and the great mandala of the vajra realm, equal to the sky, is joined, and abiding on the vajra, having become one, one's own victory is generated. Saying "Vajradhātu rā haṃ sa haṃ (藏文:བཛྲ་དྷཱ་ཏུ་ར་ཧཾ་ས་ཧཾ་,梵文天城体:वज्रधातुरा हं सहं,梵文罗马拟音:vajradhātu rā haṃ sa haṃ,金刚界 我 萨 我)", until it becomes manifestly visible, it should be meditated upon. Thus, when the great mandala of the vajra realm is accomplished, these mudras are to be done: Oṃ sarva tathāgata muṣṭi huṃ (藏文:ཨོཾ་སརྦ་ཏ་ཐཱ་ག་ཏ་མུཥྚི་ཧཾ།,梵文天城体:,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ sarva tathāgata muṣṭi huṃ,汉语字面意思:嗡 一切 如来 拳 吽), Oṃ vajrasattva muṣṭi ā (藏文:ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་སཏྭ་མུཥྚི་ཨ།,梵文天城体:,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ vajrasattva muṣṭi ā,汉语字面意思:嗡 金刚萨埵 拳 阿), Oṃ vajraratna muṣṭi trāṃ (藏文:ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་རཏྣ་མུཥྚི་ཏྲཱཾ།,梵文天城体:,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ vajraratna muṣṭi trāṃ,汉语字面意思:嗡 金刚宝 拳 扎), Oṃ vajradharma muṣṭi khaṃ (藏文:ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་དྷརྨ་མུཥྚི་ཁཾ།,梵文天城体:,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ vajradharma muṣṭi khaṃ,汉语字面意思:嗡 金刚法 拳 空), Oṃ vajrakarma muṣṭi huṃ (藏文:ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་ཀརྨ་མུཥྚི་ཧཾ།,梵文天城体:,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ vajrakarma muṣṭi huṃ,汉语字面意思:嗡 金刚业 拳 吽). For those who cannot meditate, merely by the words, focusing on Vairochana and so on, the heart essence of the thirty-seven, each one recited a hundred thousand times. Even in that way,

The great mandala will be accomplished. Then, by accomplishing the great mandala of the mantra, one binds the secret mudra and it becomes the mandala of the mantra. The mudras of those are as follows: The essence and the mantra and the mudra and the mantra and the wisdom that is spoken of, together with the mandala, one should contemplate that the mudra of the image's mandala is contained within it. Recite each of their vidya-mantras one hundred thousand or ten million times. Or, until the mandala of the mantra is accomplished, one should meditate. For that, the mudras of those are as follows: With the vajra knot as a vow, the middle fingers are placed together like sprouts, the little finger and index finger are raised, it is the vow of the supreme samaya. Having thus accomplished the mandala of the mantra, one should accomplish the mandala of wisdom. With the union of the vajra-fine, having meditated with extreme equanimity, the mandala is the vajra-fine, and that samadhi is empowering. Then one should accomplish the mandala of action. Having bound the two vajra fists, with that, one firmly holds the vajra. The binding of the thumb and little finger is the mandala of the supreme vajra action. Having done that, one should draw the mandala. For that, the king should make it one hundred cubits or fifty cubits. The minister or great minister should make it fifty cubits or twenty-five cubits. The helmsman or captain should make it twenty-five cubits or half of that. The practitioner should make it twelve cubits or six cubits. One should not make it smaller than that. Then one should completely take possession of the land. The temple and the town, or the delightful grove or the city, whichever faces east and north, not south and west. The land that is auspicious and upon which blue is completely relied, is what the wise should go to. Or whichever is pleasing to the mind, one should begin to work there. There, in the center of the land, one should perform a peaceful fire offering with the letter Haṃ (ཧཾ་,हं,haṃ,种子字). Then one should completely take possession of the land. Having removed stones and clods of earth, rotten wood, and so forth, one should completely fill it with the fragrance of scented water. Then, having leveled it well, inclining towards the east and north, contained within a multi-storied house, surrounded by wooden fences outside the stables on four sides, the wooden fence
