Mutita Kosha. In the language of India: Arya Trailokyavijaya Nama Vritti. Homage to glorious Vajrasattva! Through the gateway of secret mantras, the conduct of Bodhisattvas, or the Blessed Buddha, are taught in two ways. For the benefit of sentient beings with many thoughts, the action tantras are taught. For those who wish to accomplish solely through yoga, the yoga tantras are explained. Some also explain that there are three tantras, including both, but since the distinctions of deities are only two, there is no separate tantra for both. This tantra, the Victorious One Over the Three Worlds, belongs to the yoga tantra, because the characteristics of the deities and the samayas are in accordance with the yoga tantra. Yoga is defined as the mind being placed in equanimity. Through its power, in order to accomplish the needs of the Bodhisattva through the gateway of mantras, the mantras, mudras, mandalas, and empowerments are propagated and expanded in various ways, hence it is called the yoga tantra. Explaining this tantra, the Victorious One Over the Three Worlds, also shows the manner of the introduction and the substance of the tantra. The manner of the introduction is also threefold: the perfection of the teacher, the perfection of the place, and the perfection of the retinue. The perfection of the teacher is the Blessed One, Vairochana, the master of the tantra. Vajrapani and others also engage in the conduct of Bodhisattvas through his blessings. To show the perfection of the place, it is said, "Mount Meru," and so forth. On top of Mount Meru, the multi-storied palace of the gods, the direction of its peak is adorned with various vajra jewels and precious gems. To show the perfection of the retinue, it is said, "Hundreds of thousands of Bodhisattvas," and so forth. "Hundreds of thousands of kotis" means explaining other tantras.

When (the Buddha) was alive, he was always with ninety-nine kotis of attendants, so it should be known that they are also together here. Devas refer to Mahadeva, Brahma, and Ishvara, etc. Nagas refer to Elapatra, etc. Yakshas and Gandharvas, etc., belong to the realm of pretas. "Visible" means that those non-humans become the objects of eye consciousness. The opposite of this is invisible, meaning that the form does not appear. They also believe in the Dharma spoken by the Buddha, and together with them, the Bhagavan engages in the four modes of conduct, abiding to accomplish benefit, and the above is the introduction. In order to show the main subject of the tantra, the content beginning with "Vajrapani Bodhisattva" etc. is explained. Vajra is the symbol of wisdom, and the five prongs of the five-pronged vajra represent the four wisdoms and their object, the Dharmadhatu. Divided into two prongs means pervading all ten directions. This Bodhisattva with such wisdom is manifested as if held in hand, hence the name Vajrapani, meaning possessing wisdom. In this tantra, the main subject is shown by sixteen suchnesses, what are they? Namely: essence suchness, mudra suchness, mantra suchness, self-awareness suchness, as well as blessing, empowerment, samadhi, offering suchness, self suchness, deity suchness, samaya and mandala, wisdom, skillful means, cause and effect suchnesses. The so-called "suchness" refers to the two types of ultimate truth and conventional truth, that non-inverted nature of Dharma, the inexpressible essence is the suchness of ultimate truth. Although this is the case, in the conventional world, combined with worldly expressions, in order to accomplish what is needed without deception, it is called suchness. Because these sixteen suchnesses can accomplish meaning in their respective appropriate ways. These are also combined in their respective appropriate ways, not combined in sequence. Among them, essence refers to the essence of each of the five families, such as one syllable, etc., that are explained. Mudra is
