The Ornament of the Heart of the General Ritual for All Secrets. Mañjuśrīkīrti. The Ornament of the Heart of the General Ritual for All Secrets. Mañjuśrīkīrti. In Sanskrit: Śrīsarvaguhyavidhigarbhālaṅkāranāma. In Tibetan: The Ornament of the Heart of the General Ritual for All Secrets. Homage to the glorious Vajrasattva. To the supreme conquerors of the three times, the embodiment of great wisdom and intellect, who benefit all sentient beings, I pay homage to Mañjuśrī, the protector. In order to guide those with initial karma, who have become the ornament of the heart of all secret vehicles, I will explain this conduct of great yoga. The four roots, purification, gathering, and all the limbs, which are gathered together, are the means of attaining vajra wisdom, and should be known as the wheel of the path. The mind of the wise, the nature of liberation, the disciple who is patient and disciplined, the single supreme root of accomplishment, the guru who is to be relied upon should be examined first. Without compassion and with anger and malice, arrogant and attached, cutting off the path, associating with those who have broken vows, and students who are greedy turn away from virtue. Swords, sesame seeds, and ink, and diligently engaged in household affairs, thinking of their own benefit and desiring gain, those who despise the guru, inflicting harm on beings, using the rituals of mantras and mudras, constantly making a living, engaging in virtue for the sake of worldly dharma, craving alcohol and prostitutes, not knowing the nature of those two, constantly thinking of themselves as gurus. Those who have not stabilized celibacy, who are attached to the pleasures of youth, not abiding in those ten qualities, engaging in mandala activities, hating poor students, and giving the sacred dharma to inferiors, constantly seeking gain, and placing secrets in unworthy vessels, not keeping the three vows, and the root downfalls are constantly present, being stingy with the Dharma, and engaging in non-vow activities, the guru should be abandoned from afar. Relying on them will lead to the results of hell and so on. Stable, disciplined, and intelligent, patient, honest, and without deceit, familiar with the union of mantras and tantras, compassionate and skilled in treatises, fully knowing those ten qualities, and skilled in the activities of mandala questioning, clear in memory and diligent.

I am endowed, always delighting in the great bindu, diligently studying and holding the five sciences, skilled in explaining mantras and union, possessing the lineage of obtaining that very thing. Thinking of the liberation of beings, universally establishing in virtue, abandoning all activities such as commerce, engaging in the three trainings of virtue, practicing celibacy in meditation on that very thing. To sentient beings who are fortunate and unfortunate, knowing the proper and improper rituals. Completely abandoning miserliness, not being arrogant towards inferiors. Not looking at things like gain in the Dharma, having great faith and offering to the Guru and deities. Not harming inferior sentient beings, being without deceit and completely abandoning pride. One should know that this is the supreme teacher. In this very place, the smoke of disputes, due to the power of afflictions such as attachment and anger, the teacher's faults and virtues are mixed. Relying on virtue, the qualities, one should take hold of the qualities that have become greater. One should rely on the Guru, the protector of beings. In the presence of the Guru's dwelling, nakedness and loud breathing, acts of desire and smacking sounds, defiling with mucus, spitting in front, scratching itches and great yawns, standing and sitting violently, stirring up dust, incoherent speech and stretching legs, violently shaking the cushion and hitting others, standing on tiptoes and aimless wandering, etc., not restraining the unrestrained body, should not be done in any way. Mocking and squinting, making faces, speaking irrelevantly and biting the lip, lying and, repeating contemptuously, slander and harsh words, speaking ill of others, etc., not restraining the unrestrained speech, one should abandon the faults of speech. Towards life and body and enjoyment, and its meaning and fame, thinking badly without regard, looking displeasingly and contemptuously, not thinking of its faults and not respecting, always thinking of separation, generating demons in its words, always having a deceitful mind, always practicing deception, generating anger in an instant, all improper actions, not restraining the unrestrained mind, becoming great distraction, should never be done. Requesting instructions from the Guru, bowing with respect, if hearing words of comfort, the one possessing celibacy should ask for its meaning. Offering to the teacher and one's own yoga, eating leftovers and spitting, entering the retreat and the original activities, do.
