The four (empowerments) are also combined with the empowerment of wisdom and knowledge. Being attached to wisdom, and offering laughter and so on to all such as the Tathagatas, is the characteristic of the teacher's activity, therefore it is the teacher's empowerment. Opening the lotus and seeing with attachment to wisdom, this relies on secrecy, therefore it is the secret empowerment. Seeing all the limbs of wisdom, this relies on wisdom, therefore it is the wisdom empowerment. Arising from the activity of both, only it is the most supreme, correctly representing the non-dual wisdom, I think this is the fourth empowerment. (Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanized, Chinese literal meaning) Because it is said so. Some others think that the fourth empowerment is different. In the first chapter of Hevajra, because it is thought that everything is four, there is no main display anywhere, so there is no need for intention. Therefore, the empowerment of the mind itself is divided into two types, and here it should be regarded as the fourth empowerment. Even so, when combined with the limbs of wisdom, all the entrances of the great bliss that arises together with the Bodhicitta that has reached the top of the jewel, although there is no harm to the object, it is like entering each object definitely by the power of the object, experiencing the nature of the example of the ultimate co-emergence, that is the oral instruction itself. And, the habitual illusion wheel, such as attracting, etc., and the seed of the wind, should be firmly determined as its ability. After determining this, all limbs and near limbs should be extended. After covering all limbs and near limbs, by the power of habit, this gradually covers all stable and moving things, and then make them its nature with an equal mind. Even if these various things are turned into its nature, other things appear besides it, and because it is joy, the great bliss that arises together should be repeatedly shown by the guru's oral instruction itself, which is the conclusion of accomplishment.

Therefore, that which has the nature of stabilizing the great bliss of co-emergence with the limb of wisdom is the mind itself that relies on the limb of wisdom, hence it is called the empowerment of wisdom and co-emergent wisdom. Moreover, whatever great bliss of co-emergence that has been stabilized, just as its power is, with the mind that equally abides, pervades all limbs and sub-limbs, and because it pervades all kinds, it becomes the nature of those kinds, that is the same as wisdom and co-emergent wisdom, merely the appearance of the great bliss that is inexpressible and non-dual, that is also the mind itself empowerment. Thus, the fourth empowerment is also like that. I think this is what is being taught. This yoga of the great bliss of co-emergence, however it is, one should also practice the samaya of this in the same way. All of these are extracted from the Hevajra that delights in the accomplishment of co-emergence and taught by me, so I have not elaborated on them here. All of these are what the master of abiding should approach the disciple with the symbol of such a state at the time of bestowing the empowerment of wisdom and co-emergent wisdom, and recite verses such as "This co-emergent wisdom is extremely subtle," and thus accomplish that very nature, this is the doctrine. The difference between what is to be signified and what signifies the empowerment of wisdom and co-emergent wisdom is that, among the three that are to be spoken of, one should analyze here, and the wise should take and abandon that reason. This establishment of empowerment is explained for the time being in the glorious Guhyasamaja, and after following that mudra, one should also follow other tantras. How to empower in the glorious Guhyasamaja or Hevajra, one should also do so here, and the wise should take the difference of the fourth empowerment that is spoken of. After following the two tantras, one should also know that all the tantras of yoginis and yogas are spoken of through the symbols of those tantras. The various differences of the fourth empowerment that are beyond scripture and reason, I have not written refutations here for fear of many treatises. By seeing the tenets of this and that side as superior, and then examining them, please bestow refutations that possess scripture and reason. Because the supreme empowerment is that very nature, I have created merit by speaking of it.
