A presentation of the methods for causing the subjugated to be possessed by Nāga demons. A presentation of the methods for causing the subjugated to be possessed by Nāga demons. Meditation and recitation, even if diligently performed, due to weak merit and aspiration, activities are difficult to accomplish. For the benefit of practitioners, it is said that one should rely on methods. For evil kings who harm the Buddha's teachings, or ministers and the like, when a gathering of evil people arises, and other methods cannot subdue them, in order to protect the teachings, one should, as taught by the Buddhas, possess the mind of enlightenment, and at that time, one should begin fierce actions. Methods for destroying the wicked, the fierce actions that are spoken of, are for the sake of protecting the teachings of the Victorious Ones, so I will explain them in brief. Identifying the pulse channels, and oppressing the vital points, anointing and scattering, and actions such as rotting and other unpleasant things, the rituals of drying and burning, completely destroying the body, and striking with curses, disturbing and causing intoxication, which can destroy the wicked, this is called the abbreviated ritual. Among these, the rituals for identifying the pulse channels should also be explained. One should meditate on the Vajra Mandala, the life and the letter being non-dual, transforming into five colors, like the beak of a bee or trai (藏文,梵文天城体,trai, three), and emit it from one's own nose. From the lotus of the navel of the one to be subdued, from the pulse channel like a thread, draw out the letter of life. Then, mix the dust of the one to be subdued, as well as footprints and various impurities, with the soil of an ant nest, and make a matching image. Alternatively, in a place by the water or in a cemetery, or in a place where spirits dwell, make images of the Nāgas or lords of the earth, or the hosts of mamos or spirits, possessing four colors, hide them in their respective places, and with water homa, as well as earth and fire homas, satisfy them, and by this they will be controlled. This is the ritual of the method of identifying the pulse channels, first, one should explain the method of the ritual of identifying the pulse channels, by which the one to be subdued will be controlled by the Nāgas. First, the mantra practitioner should meditate as on the Vajra Mandala, oneself

Meditate on the letters in the heart as they are, uniting with the wind called life, transforming into five or four-colored rays of light, like a bee extracting nectar, capable of extracting all essences, extremely sharp, emanating from the two nostrils. By visualizing in this way, one's own nose will experience its touch. When the samadhi becomes mastered, first the sense of smell will become sharp. Then, by inhaling and exhaling, one will also experience the taste of others. When the samadhi becomes extremely mastered, in the navel center of the one to be subdued, in the center of the closed lotus, in the veins where the life-sustaining channels gather like threads, there exists the letter "A" (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: a, Chinese literal meaning: A) which is the nature of life, the veins being reddish-white. After visualizing this clearly, emit extremely sharp rays of breath from one's own nose, entering from the pores of the navel of the one to be subdued, entering into the thread-like tube, piercing into the letter of the nature of life, crushing all those letters, and even taking the letter itself and pulling it out. For example, like taking out and turning over a container made of wet leather from the bottom, causing the life-sustaining lotus to close and turn inside out, and then pulling it out completely, by this method alone, whoever it may be, that person will die. Those who have not attained samadhi should not begin such actions. First, one should strive to become proficient in samadhi itself, and also recite secret mantras. Then, take the soil from the footprints of the one to be subdued, and the traces of large and small excrement, as well as saliva, hair, pieces of clothing, and the soil from that person's house, and the soil under the threshold, whatever is found, mix it with soil from an anthill, flour from various grains, and other good soil, knead it thoroughly, and make an eight-finger-high statue of the one to be subdued. Then, on barley or any leaf, in the center of the closed lotus, mark a red mark with a red "A" (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: a, Chinese literal meaning: A). Then, make a thread of five colors or four colors, the size of a high doda, and connect the tips of these threads together.
