A Brief Explanation of the Meaning of the Glorious Vajrabhairava Tantra, composed by Vajrasiddha. A Brief Explanation of the Meaning of the Glorious Vajrabhairava Tantra. Composed by Vajrasiddha. First: Explanation of the Chapter on Revealing the Mandala. In Sanskrit: Śrīvajrabhairavatantrasūtra vināma. In Tibetan: A Brief Explanation of the Meaning of the Glorious Vajrabhairava Tantra. Homage to the Glorious Vajrasattva! Homage also to the lotus feet of the Glorious Lama, Protector Bhairava! I shall write about the king of his tantras, Through his kindness. In the phrase "Then," etc., the word "Then" should be understood here as immediately following. So, if that is the case, how is it shown at the beginning of the tantra? By omitting the initial words such as "Thus I have heard," and showing the word "Then," it is because this tantra is extracted from the eighteen thousand verses of the Manjushri Tantra, from the sequence of the method of accomplishing the great Bhairava. It should be understood in this way, and it should be placed at the beginning of the tantra. Also, the word "Then" refers to the stage of entering into the context of the complete seventh chapter. "Truly explained" means the true meaning, which here refers to recitation, whirling, fire offerings, meditation, activities, and the method of accomplishing Vajrabhairava, which is: Vajra is said to be emptiness, Bhairava is considered to be compassion, From the union of Vajra Bhairava, The nature of both is accomplished. Thus, emptiness and compassion are inseparable. Vajrasattva is Vajrabhairava. This method of accomplishment is what accomplishes it. This collection of texts is what makes the form of the deity Vajrabhairava like this. The tantra is also this, since it arises from manifestation, therefore it is the tantra itself. "Fierce" refers to the mind of the wrathful one. "Bhairava" refers to the form of transformation. "A single tree" refers to a tree that is not touched by the shadow of another tree. Empowerment, attraction, and purification, etc., are what are to be taught. "Near explanation" refers to what is taught from the chapter on accomplishing various siddhis. "Ashes of a burnt corpse" refers to...
