If it is accomplished by being the same as it, then because of having a cause, it is like happiness and suffering. The very nature of the Blessed One's mind also arises again and again and is destroyed. Therefore, the agent of meditation and accomplishment also revolves again and again. Thus, nothing will be able to attain enlightenment. Enlightenment is said to be a state of complete exhaustion. Therefore, what is the use of these aspects of meditation and so on? Furthermore, if it does not depend on a cause, since it exists everywhere, why is there no self-awareness everywhere? If wisdom itself is not of a nature other than self-awareness, why is it not seen? If it is other than wisdom, then in that case, it is also accompanied by the faults of having a cause and not having a cause. That is not correct, because if that which is called birth does not exist in the ultimate sense, then by what does it become the fault of having a cause and not having a cause? Because it is completely existent and abiding in all places. Or, because the Blessed One exists and knows everything, all beings are liberated. This is not reasonable. Why? Knowing completely as it is is said to be liberation. However, sentient beings, due to the mind completely imbued with the habitual tendencies of various births, will not be separated from the object in that way. The power of the knowledge of habitual tendencies, accustomed to many births without interruption, cannot be suppressed in childhood. By what then is such a wisdom of reality produced? Thus, this dharma of samsara is called perverse knowledge. Therefore, although it exists as it is, the Blessed One will not realize it as it is due to the fault of the stain of habitual tendencies. Therefore, one seeks the cause that makes it clear. For example, the moon, although it remains as one, appears in various forms to one with cataracts. Although the moon is seen, it is grasped in various forms. Then, in order to completely remove the defect of the eye, one seeks a specific medicinal ointment. Similarly, here too, it should be understood accordingly. Furthermore, for one with cataracts, whatever two moons and so on are seen in this way due to the defect of the eye,

Furthermore, that is the one moon, also seen as it truly is. Moreover, due to defects of the eye, radiance and duality, etc., are also seen. Therefore, for the time being, one sees that very nature as it is, and furthermore, due to the fault of the stains of habit, one should apply this analogy to what is accompanied by the object of various natures. Even so, because of the realization of that very nature, it becomes a fault of liberation from the very beginning. In that, without the difficulty of removing the obscurations, it is reasonable to be liberated by seeing that very nature. For the time being, that very one nature as it truly is, is indeed awareness. Furthermore, it does not turn into grasping with an object, like two moons, etc., because in that very nature, beings attain the state of liberation through awareness. Or else, bondage and liberation could both be the same, because that very nature and what is not that very nature are also awareness. Since both have awareness, is it that what is not that very nature binds, and that very nature liberates? This is what is taught: In that, if one has truly awakened, whoever, by fully knowing that very nature as it is for the time being, is not not connected to samsara. Thus, all of that will arise as a reversed consciousness, without an object and without grasping what has an object. There is nothing more than what is called without an object that has the nature of grasping what has an object. For the time being, if it becomes true awareness, what is reversed by the nature of having an object, etc.? Whoever does not give rise to the nature of awakening as it is reversed, and awakening as it truly is, how does that become a fault of liberation? The consciousness of two moons, etc., is also not what will truly realize the true moon. That is also entirely false consciousness, neither one nor many. Whoever awakens to one, what is true and what is false like that? For the time being, like this, the perception of two moons is not the meaning as it is, so all of this is false, whatever is not like that. Therefore, even what exists will not be able to comprehend everything.

That which is called that, is translated as such. Just as the moon and so on, truly knowing and not truly knowing are of this kind. Regarding this, due to being tainted by the faults of clinging and so on, the Bhagavan, with the self-nature of having no object of focus, is also not so complete. If it is so, then it should be understood in this way: that is, through the cause of making it clear, to comprehend it as it is, because there it is tainted by the faults of clinging and so on. This is not necessary, if it is so, the mandala, the wheel, truly practicing and so on are the cause of making it clear, so it is not necessary, it is clearly stated here. Any cause that makes it clear is not the wisdom that the Bhagavan truly arises, nor is it ultimate. If it is so, it can also be understood like the example of expressing its self-nature, for example, the words that show sweetness are brown sugar and so on, not arising itself, but showing its self-nature. Afterwards, it will be experienced, and its self-nature will be comprehended. Therefore, although the Bhagavan does not arise, but is also the cause of awakening, so meditation and so on are also the cause of clarity. Or, how that consciousness that has been tainted by the faults of habitual tendencies, through the cause of eliminating everything, will awaken to that suchness, because it eliminates all the obscurations, so it becomes without obscurations, the self-nature of self-awareness will appear, like a jewel wrapped in cloth. Therefore, truly and completely knowing, that which appears as the self-nature of clinging and so on, gradually the clinging will disappear, and later, when accustomed, the self-nature with the object of focus will definitely not appear. Having truly awakened in that way, afterwards, it will not be blessed by the consciousness of habitual tendencies and become unpleasant, because it has become the self-nature of awakening without an object of focus. That truth will also not be overwhelmed from the outside, it is reasonable that the meaning of things such as clinging and so on, which are not as they are, is overwhelmed by the truth of wisdom. Therefore, the mind that possesses suchness.
