Therefore, it is the very nature of complete purity. Therefore, those sentient beings who are bound by any path, the Blessed Ones, the essence of great compassion, teach the Dharma to them. Like any realm If one is bound to samsara in this way, then by that very means, one fully knows the nature of that very thing, and attains Buddhahood. Therefore, one should act according to how they experience it. This existence is fully known, and that is called nirvana. So it is said. Or, whatever binds one turns into the nature of peace, just as when fire burns, warming oneself with fire is the medicine for it. Likewise, for those tormented by attachment, sentient beings rely on objects, and without reliance, they cannot abide in enlightenment. That is the meaning. What else is there besides this realm being samsara as it is? Therefore, since it becomes the cause of liberation, there is nothing else beyond samsara. It is not reasonable for liberation to arise from this cause, because there would be the fault of having no cause. Therefore, again, what is the reason for saying that both bondage and liberation are the cause and object? Because these eliminate each other, it is not reasonable for one cause to be eliminated by this elimination. For example, fire does not perform the function of coldness. Likewise, how could one take various causes for the sake of various fruits? This is what it shows. If there is no distinction of objects, is there a fault that it does not turn into two causes? If so, the result will become distinct from the state of complete knowledge and incomplete knowledge. Just as understanding the nature of things without inherent existence becomes the cause of liberation. Just as not fully understanding the nature becomes bondage, therefore, there is a distinction between the cause of knowing and not knowing the nature. Therefore, the result is divided by the distinction of the collection. For example, if poison is eaten with knowledge of the mixture, the disease will be pacified. If one does not know, one will die. Therefore, bondage and liberation are fully understood as they are spoken of in their own nature.

It should be done. If these two are not the ultimate truth, even so, how should one know through what cause the adherence to samsara is definitely shown? Therefore, the false nature, bound by the habits of discrimination, causes suffering to arise. Otherwise, since these two are false, for what do the wise strive for liberation? Even so, because it is said to be false, it is precisely the meaning of abandoning false actions. Through false actions, from the actions of bondage, suffering arises in this way. That is, however one eliminates those habitual actions, that itself is liberation. Otherwise, it should be understood that so-called liberation is nothing other than that. In this way, the aspect of the appearance of objects, the Tathagata will teach the Dharma. Furthermore, in this way, the aspect of the appearance of objects reveals suchness. Therefore, this which shows the nature of skillful means and wisdom is suchness. If it is said, what does this eliminate, how can the two become one nature? If it is said that even shadows and light are said to be one, it is not so, because the result is established on the cause, therefore the nature of skillful means and wisdom is said to be suchness, just as water in a cold place is like a disease of the foot. Therefore, from the union of skillful means and wisdom, through the stages of joy and so on, the wisdom of the essence of self-existing joy will arise, so on the cause of skillful means and wisdom, it is said to be the essence of suchness. Therefore, there is no elimination, because from taking such a cause, another distinction of wisdom will arise, just as from eating brown sugar and bamboo shoots, another characteristic beneficial for fever will arise. From the nature of the self of skillful means and wisdom, how does the wisdom of self-knowing of the non-dual nature arise? It is unreasonable for a cause with duality to produce a non-dual result. Therefore, because it is with an object of focus, how does co-emergent self-knowing without an object of focus arise from the cause of skillful means and wisdom? The result arises in a manner consistent with the cause.
