First division, Explanation of Abhisambodhi. First division, Explanation of Abhisambodhi. In Sanskrit: Śrīyamāritantrapaṇjikā Sahajāloka nāma. (Glorious Explanation of the Difficult Points of the Yamāri Tantra, the Light Born Together). Homage to the noble Mañjuśrīkumārabhūta! Homage to the Omniscient! To all the gurus who are the supreme of all things, I bow to the profound Vajradhara. The explanation of the difficult points of the glorious Yamāri, The Light Born Together, I shall write. Even for the wise who discern with scripture and reason, It is hidden; for those who do not even know the sound, What need to mention fools like me? However, from the profound words of the gurus, Whatever little meaning is gained from hearing, I, with all my effort, Shall remember its meaning. Since those who are always endowed with discrimination enter upon seeing the need, therefore, first, as a branch of entry, the ability to accomplish the cause of obtaining the uncommon fruit must be stated. Whatever, All the treatises and Some of the actions, Until the need is stated, Who will take them? Thus it is taught. Since it is not possible to understand without showing the connection and the statement, the connection and the statement must also be shown. Since it is not possible to accomplish without a method, the method must also be shown. Among these, the cause of the supreme happiness of oneself and others, the Bhagavan Yamāri Kṛṣṇa's Tantra itself, is what is to be spoken of here, which is the need here. That which definitely shows it is also the statement, just as the deeds of the Buddha are shown by poetry, so too in the Tantra it is called Yamāri Kṛṣṇa. The connection between the statement and the stated, which are characterized by the statement and the stated, is also shown by the force of meaning. Here, the method is also threefold: taking refuge, generating bodhicitta, and obtaining empowerment by entering the mandala, etc., which is characterized by meditating on the four yogas, because by this one manifestly becomes the nature of that self. Therefore, truly, truly not truly, extremely meditate.

What are they? When the power of meditation is complete, it is the fruit of clear, unconfused wisdom. This is what is taught. If asked, how can this be made uncommon? It should be said that everything, all of it, is done for the sake of one's own happiness. This is because, since they do not know what should be abandoned and what should be cultivated, the non-Buddhists act only out of a desire for the happiness of gods and humans. They throw themselves into water and fire, eat leaves and barley, beg from one person or beg from two people, and do things that harm the body. However, even if they temporarily practice with those ascetic behaviors, there will be no happiness as a result. Why? Because: Suffering and the like distract the mind, Distraction transforms into other accomplishments, Without accomplishment is samsara, Samsara causes the creation of hell. Thus it is said. The Hearers and the like also, because they do not fully know the suchness of all things, think that the happiness without aggregates is supreme, and thus know that they will surely be liberated from samsara. Those who practice the Paramita Vehicle, even if they engage in generosity and the like, always have the same taste of emptiness, and because the Enjoyment Body and the Emanation Body are non-dual, they primarily seek their own liberation from samsara due to weak compassion. The ultimate of the Paramitas, which is non-retrogression, is also not Buddhahood, for if it were, it would lead to the fault of becoming a Buddha on the tenth bhumi. Furthermore, even if profoundness is directly realized, there is no benefit for sentient beings. If it is thought that all beings are nearly completely saved, that is omniscient wisdom, but that is not the cause of entering the ultimate of selflessness, because it is only an antidote to eliminate conceptualization. That is: The unreal alone, devoid of skillful means, Is also not what should be accomplished, Because there is no power to accomplish benefit for oneself and others, Like a flower in the sky. Thus it is taught. It should also not be said that generosity and the like arise through the door of skillful means and through the power of aspiration. Why? Because the Enjoyment Body and the Emanation Body of the uncultivated self
