This is the method of meditating on flames burning and covering (things). Those burnt offerings also gradually descend from the water mandala and are placed in the lotus of the heart. In order to go to the lotus of the navel. Thus it is said. If asked, what is the method? "The method of union is through union." This means that the burnt offering is performed through the union of skillful means and wisdom. Just like the external empowerment, it should also be done to the mandala of the body deity, this is the concluding statement. As soon as it reaches the secret lotus, it is completely manifested at the edge of the ashes. This means that those burnt offerings satisfy the mandala of the body deity, and the five poisons are burned. How to perform the burnt offering of merit, etc., has been mentioned here. I am the teacher. "Achievement will be attained in this very life." This means that because of developing in a special Buddha-field and transforming into a special thought, in this very life one will be able to realize the Dharma and obtain the fruit of experience. From "no aging" to "speaking of happiness" is easy to understand. "Merely by seeing, it motivates." This means that, similarly, merely by seeing, attachment will arise. Similarly, the ritual of offering is also like that. For "the various actions of burnt offerings have been explained," etc., has been mentioned here. Offering is respect. A garland is a garland of flowers. Etc. refers to lamps. Empowerment is a secret offering. To whom is the offering made? To oneself, that is, to one's own body. Why not offer to stupas, etc.? Because "I am all the Buddhas." Thus it is said. Because the aggregates, etc., are regarded as the mandala of the deity. "It is the abode of all the Buddhas." This means that just as a stupa is the basis of the Buddha, so too the yogi who has received empowerment and mantra becomes the abode of all the Buddhas. Furthermore, in the Guhyasamaja it is said, "To the Vajra Master, the Buddhas of the ten directions come." And so on. Therefore, "Therefore, with all effort, the Vajra Master should always be offered to." All these are offerings. Effort is meditating on oneself as the deity. "Any actions of some," refers to dances, etc. "The yogi meditates as offering," refers to actions such as offerings of body and speech. Ba

The means of meditation, food, etc., and so on. The four vidyādharīs are adorned with various ornaments. One's own deity should be meditated upon. That is, the four goddesses, such as food, which have become the essence of the four elements, should be meditated upon like the speech of Vajrasattva. Moreover, in the Guhyasamāja Tantra, it is said: "Furthermore, for meditation on that, one should meditate on the aspect of the family." Thus it is said. Vajra is Vajrasattva. That which is called "that" is only what is said. One should remain silent and not speak. It is because the dharmas are shown to be non-existent. Therefore, in the Ornament of the Sūtras, it is also said: "The Bhagavan, until the time of his passing into nirvāṇa, did not utter even a single word." Thus it is said. Ācārya Nāgārjuna also said in the Twenty Verses: "By what compassion were the dharmas, which cannot be expressed by words, shown? I prostrate to that inconceivable one, the unobstructed knower of the Buddha." Thus it is said. When the Bhagavan was staying there, what did the retinue do? After that, and so on, it is easy to understand. To attain non-conceptualization is to be non-different from equality. To be silent and not speak is to have doubt enter into the heart. Among the questions asked by the four goddesses, this is the explanation of the fourth chapter of the Secret Supreme Vehicle, which was asked by the earth Tārā. This Secret Supreme Vehicle Tantra, although it is not my field of activity, this commentary has been composed in order to disparage those of inferior intelligence. By whatever merit has been accumulated by this, may I also, through that merit, realize the meaning, and may others also rejoice in it, and may I attain supreme enlightenment. The explanation of the Tantra Requested by the Four Goddesses, composed by the teacher Jñāna-garbha, is complete. Translated and established by the Indian abbot Smṛti-jñāna-kīrti. Chapter Four: Explanation of the Secret Supreme Vehicle Requested by the Goddess Tārā.
