Commentary on the Glorious Secret Assembly, King of Tantras, Smṛti Jñānakīrti. Commentary on the Glorious Secret Assembly, King of Tantras. Smṛti Jñānakīrti. Chapter One: Commentary on the Empowerment of the Mandala of Samādhi of All Tathāgatas. In Indian language: Śrī Guhyasamājatantra-rāja-vṛtti. In Tibetan language: Commentary on the Glorious Secret Assembly, King of Tantras. Homage to the Glorious Vajrasattva! Subduing the four prides with strength, Possessing the ten enjoyments together, The five wisdoms, the reality of all purposes, Also bowing with the crown of the head to the feet of the Guru. The supreme of tantras, called Assembly, With great attachment manifestly directed, Also for the purpose of dispelling the forgetting of self, Will be explained by the force of faith. Herein, the meaning of this tantra is the three mandalas and the vows, the precepts and the three disciplines, the rituals of common and supreme accomplishments, and the order of its four methods, as follows: The six branches of the three unions, with parts and portions, are the recitation and the accomplishment by force. The necessities and so forth are inferred by implication. Now, in order to show the four beginnings, common and uncommon, it is said, "Thus said," and so forth, wherein "Thus said" is the collection of all aspects of sound. By this, the very nature of the uncommon beginning, the Vajra of the Mind of Enlightenment itself, is indicated. Thus also said by Bhadrapāda: "Non-dual, primordial, possessing peace, The two letters thus indicate." That alone is the uncommon beginning, as stated in the later text, "This well-spoken tantra," up to "arising from the Secret Assembly." Therefore, the meaning of this is that the teacher, the Vajra of the Mind of Enlightenment itself, appears to the listeners as the nature of sound, like an illusion. "Thus have I heard," and so forth, declares the nature of the common beginning, wherein "I" means not transmitted from another, thereby showing non-transgression of the vow. "Heard" refers to the continuum of the aspect of sound. "At one time" means not at many times, thereby showing that it is difficult to obtain. "Bhagavan" means abandoned.

Perfectly complete, and the wisdom that possesses enjoyment is perfectly complete, therefore it is said that he is the teacher of valid beings. Tathagata means to have gone to the supreme and ultimate bliss, and to have reached the ultimate in what should be traveled. Body, speech, and mind Vajra Essence refers to Vajrasattva, who possesses the three vajras and is the source of all things. In the subsequent scriptures, it is also said: "Essence, mudra, secret mantra, etc.", here it is said to be the meaning of essence. His consort is the vidya. His bhaga (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思) is the dharmadhatu mudra of the complete union of the two, although it is the difference between the two, it is the nature of the dharmadhatu, so the term consort is used. Here, the bhaga (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思) born from the consort is also like this, just as the wine made from barley is called barley wine. As it is also said in the subsequent scriptures: "Together with the enjoyment gaya (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思)", etc., this shows a special place. Others say that it is the secret bhaga According to their view, "Maya" refers to bodhicitta, and its meaning is that the Bhagavan born from bodhicitta resides in the secret bhaga They argue, how do their dharmadhatu and space vajra abide? This explanation is not correct, because it contradicts "Thus I have heard, at one time." Why? Because in the seventeenth chapter it says "After transcending the consort", so it seems that after transcending the secret bhaga (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思), the Dharma is preached in the palace of the dharmadhatu, and the Venerable Subhuti has not said this either, so it is very unreasonable. Moreover, in the tantra itself, it is clearly said that the secret mandala is the bodhicitta mandala, and the dharmadhatu is bhaga (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思), for example: "The bodhicitta mandala, and the mandala is shown as bhaga (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思)", etc. In addition, the word samaya refers to the word "in time." Space Vajra is the space within the dharmadhatu, so it is very reasonable for it to abide in the dharmadhatu. If it is not reasonable, then how is your "la" reasonable? It's the same. Who heard it with? In order to show the faculties, it is said that "cannot be expressed in words" is the characteristic of a Bodhisattva.
