Fourth, the Ritual of Meditation Fourth, the Ritual of Meditation The Samadhi of the Initial Preparation. Without accomplishing the Vidya with the four practices of recitation and accomplishment. The four minor limbs. The minor concordant cause and effect, and the minor recitation. Now, the ritual of meditation will be explained. First, with the ritual previously taught, the yogi who has become the master of meditation should awaken from deep sleep at dawn, especially delighting in being thoroughly awakened by the sound of the goddesses' songs. In one's own heart, visualize the syllable མཾ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari: मं, Romanized Sanskrit: maṃ, literal meaning: Mam) of saffron color, standing upright in the center of the moon mandala, which has completely transformed from the white vowel letter, possessing light that pervades the sky, and radiating light. Then, wash the face and so on. After that, anoint with the moon, sun, water, medicine, and fragrances, and adorn with flowers. In a pleasant place, sit comfortably in the vajra posture. If that is not possible, then contemplate all of that in the mind. Wherever and in whatever way is comfortable, sit and meditate on the four immeasurables for beings afflicted by the three sufferings. Among these, the thought of removing beings from samsara and its causes, without relying on returning benefits and so on, is compassion. The thought of connecting sentient beings with Buddhahood and its common cause is loving-kindness. As taught, the joy until certainty that the Buddha is the unparalleled means for accomplishing the benefit of beings is joy. To engage in the nature of the accumulation of merit and wisdom for the accomplishment of Buddhahood, and to disregard all inappropriate activities such as the eight worldly concerns, is equanimity. Then, inspired by the light rays of the moon seed syllable in the heart, with great compassion, visualize the gurus, Buddhas, and Bodhisattvas abiding in the ten directions and three times, filling all of space without any gaps like a sesame pod, and the body of Manjushri Vajra abiding nearby for the benefit of the yogi. Offer foot washing water, mouth washing water, and offering water, as well as outer, inner, and secret offerings.

Offer with... (Oṃ) The syllable Oṃ is completely transformed into a lotus-shaped precious vessel, placed on a maṇḍala of the nature of the seven precious things. Visualize the five nectars and five diligences being blessed by seed syllables such as (བྲུཾ, bhruṃ, seed syllable). The supreme water and flowers blessed by the Three Tathāgatas are thoroughly cleansed. By mentioning one's own seed syllable, the Three Tathāgatas, offer foot-washing water, mouth-washing water, and offering water. From the seed syllable in the heart, emanate the seven precious things, etc., and arrange them as much as possible. Offer each of the five supreme objects of desire. This is called the outer offering. Then, the countless ones such as the eye-mother, each dissolve into the lord of the maṇḍala and the deities of the maṇḍala. Offering to them is called the secret offering. Then, manifest the objects of the nature of the Blessed One's number, praise them with the mind, and with hands filled with flowers as a prelude, prostrate and recite the seven-part ritual of supreme offering. With a thought that surpasses words, recite the meaning of the verses: I confess all sins. I rejoice in all virtues with supreme joy. I pray that the Blessed One, as well as the sacred Dharma, may remain in the world as long as samsara is not empty. I vow to take refuge in the Three Jewels and generate the supreme Bodhicitta. I will abide in this path according to the Dharma, and I will dedicate this virtuous act to the supreme Bodhi. This is called practice offering. Then, with a joyful gaze, for the Tathāgatas who have gone wherever they have gone, likewise, until the realm of space is exhausted, I will have more faith in these three kinds of offerings, and finally pray for their return. Then, I transform into glorious Mañjuvajra, and with the boat shown by the supreme Dharma, I will place these sentient beings who dwell in the ocean of samsara near the glorious Guhyasamāja precious island. Thus, make aspirations, cultivate Bodhicitta, and the nature of the Bodhicitta of action.
