The Explanation of the Light of Suchness Jewel, Speech Empowerment Grakpa. The Explanation of the Light of Suchness Jewel. Speech Empowerment Grakpa. In Sanskrit: Tattvaratna Aloka Vyākhyāna. In Tibetan: The Explanation of the Light of Suchness Jewel. Homage to the Bhagavan, Lord of Speech! Homage to the Lord of the World, whose crown is adorned with the light of infinite preciousness! I will explain the light of the fourth. That which is called "incomparable," etc., whoever holds the lotus in their hand, that is the lotus holder, who is the Bhagavan Avalokiteśvara, may he be victorious. What kind of special qualities does he possess? It is said, "incomparable," etc. "Incomparable" means extremely rich, extremely vast, possessing the nature of abiding until the end of samsara, because others do not have it. That whose nature is the essence of bliss itself, free from comparison, is called such. Furthermore, what kind of special qualities does he possess? "Glorious" is the nature of the accumulation of merit and wisdom, and whatever is the basis of its dwelling is called such. Because it pervades everything with the nature of the Dharmakaya, it has no specific dwelling place, hence it is without a dwelling place. Again, what kind of special qualities does he possess? "Incomparable," i.e., the most excellent form, youth, charming gestures, and great compassion, etc., are possessed, hence it is incomparable, surpassing the example of the Vajra body, etc., up to the ultimate Tara, the nature of the ten vidyādharī goddesses, surrounded by the retinue of vidyādharīs, whoever has that is called such. That itself is the light of wisdom, and because it proceeds together with wisdom, it is endowed with wisdom. The three realms are the beings dwelling in the three worlds. What benefits is the future benefit, such as Buddhahood. The happiness in that is the immediate benefit, such as being a Chakravartin. That attainment is realization, that is, manifestation. Whoever accomplishes these is called such. The Dharma nature that does not transcend complete nirvana.

Because he attained the nature of transcendence beyond existence in samsara, he does not transform into other forms, therefore he is immutable. May such a supreme Bhagavan be victorious! As for how long? It is said, "As long as hope appears." By the sound of the nature of hope, it means the nature of the ten directions of space, or hope, which is all sentient beings being burned by the enjoyment of existence. That hope appearing means between clarity, complete entry, and complete arising. Until then, the Bhagavan being victorious means surpassing all such as Vishnu, Maheshvara, and Brahma. This is its meaning. Among them, the phrase "the nature of incomparable bliss" shows the complete meaning of pus. "The transformation of the place of glory" refers to its method, because the collection of merit and wisdom is expressed by the sound of glory. May benefit and happiness be attained in the three realms of existence. This phrase shows the perfection of benefiting others. "The nature of the incomparable ten goddesses, with the nature of knowledge and ignorance." This phrase refers to its method. If measured by the ten goddesses and the thirty-two marks of the holy body, and the eighty minor marks, then he has the power to accomplish the perfection of benefiting others in all aspects. Knowing the scriptures of the glorious mantras. And so on. By the sound of the mantra scriptures, although it usually refers to the Yoga Tantra in general, in reality, the glorious Guhyasamaja should be understood, because others cannot have the meaning of the fourth initiation. The rest is easy to understand. The many instructions, and so on. The collection of instructions from many past, future, and present teachers, completely stirred by the division in front, means completely pervading everything by completely stirring, therefore what is to be accomplished is also stirred. In order to clearly understand. This phrase means to understand in order to easily abide. That which is to be accomplished, and so on. For which heretic is completely deluded, completely deluded.

That which comes from the distinction of wisdom is called that. All those heretics have their eyes of wisdom covered by the darkness of clinging to self and what belongs to self. Therefore, they are confused about what is Suchness, or what is to be attained, and what the nature of Suchness and what is to be attained is. The rest is easy to understand. Are Suchness and what is to be attained not the same in essence as what is to be taken? Why is there a distinction between Suchness and what is to be attained? That is not true, because Suchness, although it is to be taken, pervades all the aggregates that appear separately, such as happiness, suffering, and equanimity, merely as knowable. And what is to be attained, although it is to be taken by the characteristic of wanting to be liberated from what is not wanted, all sentient beings must want to be liberated from what is not wanted. Therefore, there is no fault in wanting to attain the fruit of what is to be attained itself. For the time being, what the ultimate speakers of the Vedas want to attain is described as the nature of joy, etc., because the nature of joy is the nature of constant happiness. Pure knowledge is the nature of clarity, because the self is extremely manifest. The so-called immovability is because it cannot be moved by impermanence. Peace is considered to be completely free from afflictions and near afflictions. The seventh of what is to be attained in that way is what is desired. Those solitary Buddhas who enter with the Hearers, like rhinoceroses, wander alone, and those Buddhas who enjoy in groups, all desire to attain. What is that like? It is separate from the aggregates such as form. The aggregates of the characteristics of form, feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness are heaps, up to what is called separation, cessation, and extinction. It will be shown that all Hearers and Solitary Buddhas are with remainder and without remainder.
