The Sequence of Yoga Practices Called "Accomplishing One's Own Benefit," by Vitapāda. The Sequence of Yoga Practices Called "Accomplishing One's Own Benefit." Vitapāda. In Indian language: Ātma Artha Siddhi Kara Nāma Yoga Kriyā Krama. In Tibetan: The Sequence of Yoga Practices Called "Accomplishing One's Own Benefit." Homage to the glorious Vajrasattva, embodiment of wisdom! Definitely liberated from worldly conduct, its essence is equal to space. Completely separated from elaborations, vast in nature, it accomplishes all purposes with this. Not abiding in existence or peace, it abides and is completely, an unparalleled body of bliss. I bow to the glorious Mañjuvajra, and also to my lama who holds the meaning of the lineage. In order to remember the oral instructions of the sequence of the Buddha's wisdom feet, etc., Therefore, I will explain this like the sun for the foolish. There are two kinds of wrong understanding of this: wrong understanding of external objects and wrong understanding of internal consciousness. Among these, there are two kinds of wrong understanding of external objects: the Tirthikas and the Shravakas. They believe that external objects, consciousness, etc., exist in one place, and they completely discriminate in various ways. How do they completely discriminate? The Tirthikas believe that the essence of external objects is the continuation of the past, and it also exists in various ways in the present and future, and they completely discriminate it as having parts, being coarse, and being a single essence. Some of the Shravakas believe that things are made up of atoms, and these atoms are without parts, do not distinguish between darkness and light, and completely discriminate them as being with the opportunity of being of the same kind. Some believe that these things are truly gathered together, do not distinguish the opportunity of being of the same kind, stick together, and completely discriminate them as having no object. For these, the first point is not established, and in order to show that reason cannot tolerate it, the great lama said: Whatever white, etc., is seen first, that same thing is not seen at another time. Even though the two are inconsistent with each other, they are the same as constant happiness, etc. Form, etc., are not one, because they are seen with distinctions such as beginning and end. It is said that this is because consciousness can understand white objects, etc.

Not immediately seeing disbelief, seeing in the second instant and so on is also not. Because the result is momentary. Therefore, a goose is found instantly, and later being found is cessation and existence. It is not like happiness and suffering existing at the same time. If it is not like that, then the result will become permanent. Why? Because the cause is permanent. Therefore, since the result appears to arise gradually, one should know that the causes also arise gradually. Therefore, how can the causes become permanent? As the noble Maitreya also said, "The result is of a certain lineage, it is close, therefore the cause is not of a permanent nature." And, the teacher Vasubandhu also said, "That is also when it is by it, if you do not see that meaning, then how do you think that is direct perception?" Because of this reason. Similarly, all things are not one, because they appear as various parts such as above and below, appearing similar to grasping and not grasping. Gradually walking all over the place, and the subtle being invisible while the coarse being visible, and horses and elephants etc. appearing as many. Similarly, the great teacher Vasubandhu also said, "If it is one, there is no gradual walking. Grasping and not grasping do not exist simultaneously. Appearing as many with intervals, the subtle that cannot be seen by the eyes also does not exist." He said that. The teacher Prajñāsaṃbhavaguhya also said, "On the pillar, especially the object, with distinctions such as above and below, if it is divided into many, then focusing on one will not be confused." He said that. In order to show that the second view is also not established. The great Lama said, "The parts of atoms are also clearly seen, and it is also not a multitude of forms." This is also the same reason. That is to say, things are not extremely subtle, because extremely subtle things are invisible, while coarse things are visible. The coarse appears as the nature of parts, so it is not extremely subtle. The teacher Prajñāsaṃbhavaguhya also said, "Extremely subtle things cannot be perceived one by one by the mind, the mind perceives the coarse, the coarse is with parts, so the atom is not an object of perception." He said that. In order to show that the third view is not established. The great Lama said:
