The Sadhana of the Imperishable Jewel, by Vitapada. The Sadhana of the Imperishable Jewel. Vitapada. The Ritual for Meditating on the Imperishable Bindu. In Indian language: Ratnamati Nama Sadhanam (梵文天城体:रत्नमति नाम साधनं,梵文罗马拟音:ratnamati nāma sādhanam,Literal meaning: The Sadhana named Jewel Wisdom). In Tibetan: The Sadhana of the Imperishable Jewel. Homage to the All-Knowing One! Whoever is stainless and possesses splendor, Completely free from the nature of elaboration, Emanating from the infinite lineages, I pay homage to Manjushri and the Lama. Wisdom and other qualities, Through faith, Through the meaning of gathering, Suchness itself, For the purpose of reminding oneself and others, I shall speak of the Imperishable Jewel. Those who are without the authentic oral instructions, even if they teach and know the eighty-four thousand collections of Dharma, even if they practice for billions of kalpas, will not be able to attain the supreme state of Vajradhara Buddha. Therefore, I will also briefly explain the method of practicing the Imperishable Jewel through the very nature of wind, which has come from the lineage of our great Lama Sangye Yeshe (Buddhajñāna), so that great beings should strive to uphold it. The ultimate Suchness of all things is the Suchness that is inseparable from profundity and clarity. It is also the Dharmadhatu, free from all extremes of elaboration, the nature of purity like the center of the sky. In such a pure nature, from beginningless time, sentient beings have been wrongly conceived, thus the wind element has been accomplished. From that comes fire, from that comes water, from that comes the earth element, appearing as aggregates, sources, and elements, and appearing as the nature of cyclic existence. Even at the time of such appearance, there is not even a particle of movement in the meaning of perfect purity. Such a meaning, although it abides in all sentient beings, in the form of conventional appearance, in the place of form, will not be realized without the instruction from the Lama's mouth. Therefore, through the blessing of the coemergent master, the very nature of being free from elaboration through the door of wind, the Suchness of abiding and resting, will be realized through the Lama's oral instructions. By meditating on that realization, the aggregates and so on that appear wrongly will gradually revert.
