A Commentary on the Later Tantra Called "Correct Conduct". Baidyapada. A Commentary on the Later Tantra Called "Correct Conduct". Baidyapada. In Sanskrit: Samyagvidyakaranāmaittaratantravyākhyānaṃ. In Tibetan: A Commentary on the Later Tantra Called "Correct Conduct". Homage to glorious Vajrasattva! In the manner of the sun causing lotuses to bloom, Having extracted the essence of the heartwood, Dispelling all ignorance, immaculate, and increasing wisdom, satisfying one's own continuum, With a multitude of emanations of various lineages, causing beings to be utterly satisfied. I pay homage to that glorious Manjushri Vajra, and also to my guru who holds the meaning of the tantras. In order for myself and others to remember the sequential instructions such as the feet of the Buddha's wisdom, The Tathagata supremely clarifies the king of tantras, the glorious Gathering Tantra, the Later Tantra. Because the holy ones have given me the essence, and because the basis of all dharmas greatly urges me, I will compose this commentary called "Correct Conduct" to the best of my ability. Bodhi Vajra and others, The Later Tantra, the field of activity of the holy ones, Through the compassion of the guides, I too will explain. Here, the explanation of this perfect basis, and the limbs of the listeners who bring thoughts into manifestation, are explained in the condensed meaning, and should be understood by inference from that. Now, beginning with "then," etc., it shows the perfection of the meaning of the Later Tantra. Among these, first, it clearly shows how the Bodhisattvas who possess special methods understand the meaning. The words "Maitreya" and so on show the person who understands. What is it like? It is mentioned as Bodhisattva Mahasattva. By what means? It is mentioned as having received the empowerment of all the Tathagatas and showing the secrets of body, speech, and mind. By what object? By all objects. How to understand? Having seen, heard, and realized as it is and as the vows are. To whom to pray? To all those Tathagatas. What is it like?

If asked, "Is it Tathagata?" the answer is, "It has been said to be endowed with the Dharma eye." If asked, "How to supplicate?" the answer is, "'E-ma-o' and so on have been said." Now, the meaning of the limbs will be explained separately. Among them, "then" refers to the connection and conclusion of the root tantra and the subsequent tantra, and should be regarded as an ornament. "Maitreya and so on" refers to those who, through the power of the Vajra Holder, are equal to the dust of the completely pure realm. Bodhi is the wheel of the mandala of compassion and wisdom inseparable from the complete enlightenment of all aspects of knowledge. To obtain it, the desire is the intention. If asked, "Are there some who are far from faults?" Therefore, "Great Bodhisattva" is mentioned, because they aim at the benefit of immeasurable beings, so it is said. In order to distinguish some ordinary people, the Bodhisattva is used to distinguish them. "Having obtained the empowerment of all Tathagatas" means that the empowerment born from all Tathagatas is the mind of Bodhi. Abiding by being endowed with the share of hearing conferred by it is obtaining empowerment. All the dharmas completely held by the two samadhis born of desire are called that. "To show the secret of body, speech, and mind" means that by purifying it, the secret nature of body, speech, and mind, letters, mudras, samadhis, etc., are shown by the Great Vajra Holder, and the remaining dharmas held by it are called that. "All things" refers to one's own body, etc., with a single mind. "As it is" means that by it, one realizes the naturally abiding deity or the nature of the body, etc., as it is. If asked, "How is it as it is?" The answer is, "Keep the vows as they are, without adding or subtracting, without slandering, and understand the scriptures that do not violate the meaning of as it is, such as the first chapter, etc., in order." Seeing is through the body. Hearing is through speech. Realization is through the mind. Knowing each one correctly, like ghee and ghee mixed together without distinction, is called that. Connect with "supplicate like this." If asked, "To whom to supplicate?" Supplicate to the Dharma.
