Chapter Seventeen, entitled "Explanation of the Great Seal of Blessing of the Vajra of the Vows and Samayas of All Tathagatas." Chapter Seventeen, entitled "Explanation of the Great Seal of Blessing of the Vajra of the Vows and Samayas of All Tathagatas." In the phrases beginning with "Then," the vows of protection and consumption are spoken. Is this because of the coemergent mother of perfect and complete enlightenment? Or, how is it that this is also for the sake of guiding disciples? After completely cutting off discriminations such as these. After the offering associated with the samadhi called "Supreme Mandala King," praise is spoken through the doors of the five tathagatas. Because great wisdom is the nature of non-duality. The vajra realm is the lineage, because its nature is the essence of emptiness. The great sage is omniscient. The three mandalas are the nature of body and so forth. The vajra is supreme among the three, body and so forth. Great purity is the complete purification of afflictions and cognitive obscurations, along with their predispositions. Vajra peace is the indivisible peace in which defilements do not recur. Great joy is that whose characteristic is great compassion, and it is thus. Among those who are naturally luminous, that which is supreme is supreme among them. Mantra, because it is the indivisible basis of suffering and is irreversible, that is, having abandoned the predispositions of ignorance, and without remainder, that is, having abandoned the faults of the non-afflicted body, speech, and mind and the guru. Profound, that is, without conceptualization, this is the profoundness of bliss. Therefore, space is vajra. Like space, without impurity, is naturally pure. Therefore, it is without attachment. Because there is no speaker or spoken, there is no conceptualization. Or, because conceptualization is extremely pure. Because it is equal to space, non-dual wisdom is space, and that is vajra, and it is held as its essence. Desire paramita is supreme, that is, pleasing to those who are pure. Therefore, it is the ultimate truth.

Therefore, the Victorious One (referring to Prajñāpāramitā) is considered as the ten perfections. Thus spoke the Victorious Maitreya. Complete and perfect enlightenment is because of directly realizing all dharmas of all aspects. All intentions refer to the wish for all sentient beings to attain complete enlightenment, etc., which is to make it completely perfect. The nature of purity arises from the Dharmadhatu. The enjoyment of Vajra is the Tathagatas. Purity is established by valid cognition and scriptural authority. The vows are the four that should be protected, and what should be enjoyed is the nature of the five diligences and the five amṛtas, because it is the companion of unsurpassed Bodhi, so it must be practiced as and when it is obtained. Otherwise, if violated, it will fall, leading to the cutting off of all roots of virtue. The vows obtained as and when they are obtained should be accomplished. If these are not practiced, it is said to be the thirteenth root downfall. Body Vajra, etc., should also be regarded here as yogis of the three families. The vows of the companion itself should also be clearly stated. If these vows are kept, then becoming its body, speech, and mind, one will become a Buddha by its very nature. The term "immediately after" refers to the sequence of that perfect assembly itself. Similarly, among all glorious Buddhas: The mandala becomes inferior, and also those who abandon vows, their practice will not be accomplished even slightly, because they do not understand that profound mind. Thus it is said. For the sake of one's own solitude, because of realizing by oneself, these are the Pratyekabuddhas. They show by their bodies, that is, by their immaculate nature, in order to make others realize the meaning they have realized as appropriate to the vessel. As the noble Maitreya said: For what and what meaning, how and how it is heard, for that, even without sound, that meaning, it appears just like that. Thus it is said. Wherever one manifests one's own Bodhi, even then, the Shravakas listen to the Dharma from the Buddhas, etc. They have abandoned wisdom by the characteristics of their own discrimination. Precisely because of that, those who rely on others and consider themselves inferior even to the Pratyekabuddha vehicle, those are just like that.
