Chapter Five: Explanation of the Supreme Conduct of Universal Practice. Chapter Five: Explanation of the Supreme Conduct of Universal Practice. Having been empowered in such a mandala and subsequently attained manifestation, one who possesses non-discriminating conduct is shown here to be a suitable vessel. Therefore, the chapter on conduct is taught, beginning with "Then," and so forth. The body, speech, and mind vajra of all Tathagatas are the Vajradhara, because their essence is the body vajra, and so on. "King" refers to Vairochana, who manifests according to the capacity of the beings to be tamed. The supreme equality of the nature of all things is the unelaborated nature, therefore it is the supreme body, namely Ratnasambhava. Because it is moistened by the great compassion arising from the wisdom of individual discernment, it undertakes the beings of the three realms, therefore it is Amitabha, the lord of the abode. All conduct is for the sake of taming all sentient beings without exception, and it proceeds with rituals. Its supreme aspect is the chief, because it is the nature of the wisdom of accomplished action. The supreme conduct of whoever it is, is Amoghasiddhi. "Dharma meaning" refers to the dharma, which is beings and so on, and it is the nature of their meaning, namely Akshobhya, the essence of the wisdom of the sphere of dharma. Because there is no dharma apart from the sphere of dharma, there is the saying, "There is no dharma apart from the sphere of dharma." Thus, the Blessed One, the essence of the five families, spoke of relying on the five families, which is the characteristic of conduct. From the nature of generosity and so on, conduct is supreme, namely the conduct of yoga. Its meaning is suchness, and some say that its nature was spoken by the Blessed One. "Arising from non-discriminating meaning" means arising from the wisdom that is indivisible from skillful means and wisdom. "The families of desire and so on" refers to the families of Amitabha and so on. "Supreme accomplishment" refers to the characteristics of Buddhahood and so on. What accomplishes is what is produced from yogis and so on. Why? It is said, "The supreme vehicle is unsurpassed."

In order to attain Buddhahood in this very life through diligent practice, this is the unsurpassed path to perfect enlightenment. Thus it is taught: possessing non-dual wisdom is the attainment of the Vajra body and so forth. Therefore, those who strive for this purpose should always cultivate dwelling in non-dual wisdom. Hence, 'Non-discrimination arises from meaning.' This means that by abiding in non-dual wisdom, even the complete stirring up of afflictions such as intense desire can accomplish Buddhahood. The cause for this is stated as: 'The supreme vehicle is unsurpassed.' So it is said. In the attainment of wisdom-born realization, what certainty is there regarding lineage and so forth? Regarding this thought, 'The wrathful one' and so forth are explained. 'The wrathful one' is the one who is extremely famous, born in the borderlands. 'The arrow-maker' is a branch of the wrathful one, renowned for engaging in the work of making arrows. The word 'and so forth' also includes ropes and the like. What are these like? It is explained, 'The killer' and so forth. 'Killing' refers to the means such as nets, but in reality, it means to make them live. A hero, that is, a hero who seeks the meaning of killing. 'The immediate karma' and so forth refers to killing one's father, mother, or an Arhat, as well as causing dissension in the Sangha, and drawing blood from the Tathagata with malicious intent; these are the five immediate karmas that cause one to fall into hell immediately after death. The term 'and so forth' includes those close to immediate karma and so on. Among them, immediate karma and near immediate karma are: 'Destroying the mother Arhat, And the Bodhisattva who is determined, Killing the learner and the Sangha, Taking away the door of assembly, etc. Similar to immediate karma, The fifth is destroying a stupa.' That is to say, apart from this, turning away from performing other non-virtuous actions such as the ten non-virtues, and abandoning even the karma that must be experienced through the power of Samadhi, accomplishment will bestow perfect enlightenment. Actions are never wasted in the slightest, this is in terms of being separated from the Samadhi of the opposing side.
