It is to explain this. Therefore, it is said, "So-called beginningless reality," and so on. In order to show that one should meditate only with the combination of the four limbs, it is said, "So-called supreme accomplishment," and so on. In order to show that one should practice in four sessions, it is said, "So-called four sessions," and so on. The so-called invisible and so on, refers to gods and so on. The so-called accomplishment of superior and inferior refers to the accomplishment of superior and inferior attainments. This shows that even practitioners who have attained vidyādharas, etc., will gradually become the cause of attainments such as Buddhahood. In order to show that those who listen to the Guhyasamāja Tantra, etc., have also obtained the seed of Buddhahood well and are worthy of reverence, it is said, "So-called," and so on. Furthermore, whoever possesses mandalas and mantras, etc., and accomplishes peaceful and other activities, that lord of yoga, by the power of the virtuous friend, is separated from sinful deeds, and therefore is worthy of reverence. In order to show this, it is said, "So-called to be accomplished," and so on. The mandala is explained in the fourteenth chapter. The so-called utterance of mantras refers to how one blesses with one's own mantras, etc., and in particular, shows the aspect of the collection of peaceful and other activities with those characteristics. Furthermore, those who see such a teacher and are delighted even by not hearing, etc., also destroy non-virtuous deeds due to the distinction of faith, and therefore are worthy of reverence. In order to show this, it is said, "Who sees the main practitioner," and so on. The so-called main practitioner refers to the teacher who possesses non-dual union, as it is said: "Whoever possesses sight and becomes an offering in all places, sees all Buddhas and becomes the offering itself." Thus it is said. Thus, these ten verses, through the means of praise, show the subsequent explanation of the meaning of the tantra. Now, in order to show the benefit of showing great meaning by these very verses,

It is said, "Words of praise," and so on. In order to show that this Guhyasamaja Tantra is the most excellent of all other tantras, it is said, "Arising from the spoken Samaja," and so on. In order to manifest the very meaning of how the Tathagatas and others spoke, they became silent, and in order to show this, it is said, "Thus he spoke," and so on. Its meaning is this: The so-called "Vajra Body, Speech, and Mind" are the Vajra Body, etc., of the Vajradhara, that is, the self-nature Body, Speech, and Mind of the Tathagatas, residing inseparably from it, which is merely self-awareness. The Tathagatas and others focus on those very selves, and thus, generating the nature of oneness with it, they become silent. Here, even though there are many bodies, etc., they are expressed in one word, in order to make these also inseparable from each other. These bodies, etc., in the nature of non-duality of self-awareness, elaborately explain what the Tathagatagarbha is, and that is what determines it. The Body, Speech, and Mind of the nature of all the Tathagatas, possessing that nature, that is the secret. Therefore, in the Guhyasamaja Tantra, blessed by the Vajra Wisdom that reveals all secrets, and separately knowing, this is the eighteenth chapter, and it is complete. For the sake of remembrance by those with faith, a few words have been spoken about this Guhyasamaja. May the virtue that I have obtained, appearing like the moon, cause beings to abide on the supreme path of the Victorious Ones! The commentary on the glorious Guhyasamaja, was composed by the teacher Thagana. The Indian Abbot Acharya Shraddhakara Varma and Dharma Shri Bhadra, and the reviser translator Pandit Rinchen Zangpo, revised, translated, and established it.
