Like that. Therefore, the nature of what is grasped and what grasps is only consciousness, which is the tenet of those who speak of consciousness with aspects. Since the aspects do not exist as before, what is grasped does not exist, therefore what grasps does not exist. The aspect of having no aspects is also not reasonable. That is because the past and the future do not exist, and even the moment that occurs now does not remain, therefore it also does not exist. In order to explain one's own tenet, it is said, "The selflessness of phenomena and equality." All phenomena are selfless, which means both are selfless. Whatever equality arises from it, the cause is that one's own mind has not arisen from the beginning, because it arises from interdependence. Precisely because of this, for "the nature of emptiness," it is shown that the mind that is empty is not like being bound by imputation and so on. As it is said: "Meditation, what is meditated upon, the meditator, abandoning and seeing the truth. Who will know that these are merely discriminations and be liberated?" Thus it is said. That is the meaning of naturally luminous, the ultimate meaning. Then, offering a handful of flowers to the feet of the guru, in order to make offerings. Then, offerings that are in accordance with this, should be offered to the guru. Precious houses and elephants, horses, land and bedding, servants and maids, beautiful wives, extremely lovely daughters, and whatever one can offer oneself, what need is there to mention the rest? Thus it is said. With two verses, one should offer the nature of generosity, great generosity, and extremely generous offerings to the guru, as the words say. In order to explain the means of gathering, for the guru, one who has received kindness, is stainless, has steadfast wisdom, is the master of all things. Clear, pure, extremely subtle, the nature of supreme peace, the realm of Buddha's nirvana. Non-dual, free from concepts, the nature of constant bliss, that itself should be meditated upon by the yogi. Merit, non-merit, liberation, oneself here becomes the Bhagavan Vajrasattva. Thus it is said. Receiving kindness from the guru refers to the yogi who has received instructions from the guru, he is the Bhagavan Vajrasattva himself.

It is the connection of words like "transformation." What is it like? "The one with stainless and firm wisdom" refers to being very clear and having the wisdom to uphold the Dharma. Similarly, in order to know the nature of all things, the master of all things is that very yogi, because he understands the suchness of the three realms by realizing the clear light. If a yogi meditates on such a suchness, then he will understand the nature of all things, otherwise he will not. What is that suchness like? Brightness is the nature of mirror-like wisdom, purity is the nature of equality, extremely subtle is the essence of individual discrimination, the nature of supreme peace is the nature of diligently accomplishing activities, and the realm of the Buddha's nirvana is the nature of the utterly pure Dharmadhatu. Similarly, non-duality is because appearance is non-dual, freedom from concepts is because there is no attainment, and the nature of constant bliss is the essence of clear light. Then, how should the yogi meditate? "Liberation from merit and non-merit" means being free from purification and all afflictive thoughts. Why is purification also just samsara, like all afflictions? Because it is the nature of bondage. As it is said, "Even to the conceptualization of ultimate truth, the wise should not cling." And, "All views that are made point to the extreme of emptiness." It has been said. For example, if wood is burned, it turns to ashes, and if cotton is burned, it turns to ashes. Similarly, with the fire of clear light, if one burns the inferior, the intermediate, and the superior, all afflictions, purifications, and the natures of the unstated, they will become its nature, because there is no difference between them. As it is said, "The fire of nirvana is a great destruction, and not even ashes remain." This is also said in the Secret Accomplishment. What is that yogi like? "Bhagavan" means either destroying all natures by the stages of samadhi, or by the union of the Dharma-arising mudra, relying on the stages of the mudra.

Furthermore, Bhagavan, the arising of Dharma and the actual realization of enlightenment are also external actual realizations of enlightenment, as previously analyzed. Vajrasattva: That which is firm and essential, without emptiness, with the nature of being indivisible and unbreakable, and which is free from burning and destruction, that emptiness is said to be Vajra. Thus it is said in the glorious Vajrasekhara. The mind that dwells on such a Vajra, that is Vajrasattva, having attained the Suchness of emptiness, will abide in luminosity, which is the meaning of speech, and that is the ultimate essence. Commentary on the Five Stages, called Clarifying the Meaning of the Stages, the fourth stage of actualizing enlightenment. Fourth, the stages of actualizing enlightenment.
