Because it is the one who holds power. Those who have abandoned the absence of substance in the ultimate sense, and which will also appear below, say that form is like a bubble. These are used to explain. Refuting the view of the Mind-Only school is that the selflessness of phenomena is equality. Among them, phenomena are, in short, the five aggregates, because they hold the general and specific characteristics, so it is also said in the scriptures, because they hold the characteristics, they are called phenomena. Selflessness is like a snake shedding its skin, in the aggregates of the body, abandoning the previous aggregates and taking the later ones, this is the nature of examination and the basis of clinging to I, which the heretics consider to be the self. Similarly, after removing the self of phenomena of Buddhism and the self of phenomena of heretics, it is only established as mere consciousness. Since the aggregates and selflessness are the same, then consciousness is also similarly non-existent, so it is called the selflessness of phenomena is equality. Below it says, "Mind-only transforms into various things with this." These are used to explain. Thus, after removing the clinging to things and so on, the great establishment of the meaning of the Middle Way is, "One's own mind is originally unborn." It means that, ultimately, one's own mind is also not born, because it transcends existence, non-existence, and the middle. Like this, it is not like something created by the heretical Ishvara and so on, originally unborn, if the mind has already existed from the beginning, then there is no need to be born, and if there is no thing, then how can non-existence be born is unreasonable. Thus, immediately after there is no extreme of existence and non-existence, the birth of the Middle Way is not seen. So, what kind of nature is it? It is the nature of emptiness, without things, like space. For example, space, space, although it exists in name, but if examined, it is because it is emptiness. Just as it is said in the Perfection of Wisdom Sutra, "Yogis meditate on space," as it is said, "Meditate on the Perfection of Wisdom." Thus, vow to practice. Vowing to practice the mind of enlightenment in the ultimate sense, what is to be shown is: "Thus Gone, Worthy, Perfectly Awakened," etc., among which "Thus Gone" is an example. "Thus Gone, Worthy, Perfectly Awakened" is Vairochana Buddha, etc., who is both a Buddha and a Worthy One.

It is also like that. Among them, the Buddha is like an awakened person, awakened from the sleep of ignorance, like a lotus flower opening, comprehending all dharmas, and having a vast mind. The so-called "Bhagavan", from the perspective of the Hearer Vehicle of the Lesser Vehicle, is the one who has conquered the four maras. Like this, the outflows of ignorance are exhausted, and the mara of afflictions is conquered, because all afflictions arise from ignorance. The outflows of existence are exhausted, and the mara of death is conquered, because the suffering of formations is abandoned, so one is free from attachment. The outflows of views are exhausted, and the mara of aggregates is conquered, because the aggregates of clinging are the view of the perishable collection. The outflows of desire are exhausted, and the mara of the son of the gods is conquered, because perverse desire is abandoned. Like this, after conquering the four maras, one possesses the wisdom of knowing exhaustion and non-arising. Or, in the Bodhisattva Vehicle of the Great Vehicle, poverty, evil destinies, ugly appearance, lack of fame, lack of splendor, and ignorance are conquered in sequence through the six perfections, and as a result, one possesses freedom, excellence, beauty, fame, splendor, and wisdom. Or, in the Mind-Only Vehicle of the Tathagatagarbha, because suchness and the ten powers manifest, the alaya consciousness and the obscuration of knowledge are conquered, therefore one possesses mirror-like wisdom. Because the four fearlessnesses of the true limit manifest, the afflicted mind and the obscuration of afflictions are conquered, therefore one possesses the wisdom of equality. Because of the manifestation of individually and truly knowing without characteristics, the consciousness of discrimination and the obscuration of karma are conquered, therefore one possesses discriminating wisdom. Because ultimate truth and great compassion manifest, the consciousness of entering and the obscuration of birth are conquered, therefore one possesses accomplishing wisdom. These four are the wisdom of exhaustion, and the nature of the wisdom of knowing non-arising, which arises solely because of this, is the wisdom of the dharmadhatu. The Middle Way Vehicle of the Tathagatagarbha conquers all obscurations of knowledge, etc., with non-dual wisdom, and because it possesses non-discriminating wisdom, it is Bhagavan. Moreover
