Having brought whatever the mother has obtained, how should it be properly distributed first? The foot-washing water should be given to the sudden visitor, and food should be eaten to protect the body. Eating on time and bathing on time, when the mind is full of joy, abide in tranquility. If memory becomes dull due to dependence, one should stand up and walk around, looking in all directions, And thoroughly wash the face with water. The sound of flutes and the sound of drums, as well as the sounds of very frightening people, Various noisy clamors and songs, cymbals, lutes, and the sound of earthenware drums, The sounds of various birds and the sound of water, as well as the sound of women's ornaments, And the harm of mosquitoes, heat, cold, and wind, will distract and agitate the human mind. Jumping, dancing, and performing, singing, drumming, and the clamor of people, Excessive pride, greed, and strong desires, The desire to see kings and assemblies, untimely sleep and meaningless speech, Hearing scriptures, reciting poetry, as well as lust, fear, arrogance, and conceit, Holding grudges, laziness, and hypocrisy should all be abandoned. Elephants, horses, cows, crows, dogs, hens, burning, owls, men, Women, girls, as well as goats, sheep, etc., fighting and quarreling should not be watched. The mind, full of afflictions such as lust, is universally called samsara. The liberation from afflictions is like crystal and the moon, proclaimed at the end of samsara. For example, just as clear water is instantly dirtied by dust, etc., Similarly, the pure and immaculate mind becomes defiled by faults such as lust. Through these paths, one can attain the siddhis of mantra, and likewise, here one can attain heaven and liberation. The Buddhas of the past and the Bodhisattvas of the future, departing from this place, will also become Tathagatas. With an unattached mind, whatever merit is accumulated through the reverence of body, speech, and mind, If the path of truth spoken by the Sugata is aimed at, then virtuous deeds will truly arise. Cherishing the master's instructions, for the hidden meanings and the various stages of activity, And the different doors of samadhi, etc., one should abide in order as stated in the "Inquiry of the Mighty-Armed One."
