Fifth chapter, explaining the samadhi of the two truths and union. Fifth chapter, explaining the samadhi of the two truths and union. Explaining the conventional truth. In order to explain the conventional truth, it is said in the scripture: "Individual appearances arise from this." That is to say, the happiness of the conventional is to transform oneself into the body of a deity through the mantra of self-blessing. This also stems from knowing one's own mind as it is. Thus, the inner light arises by riding the wind of ignorance. From the mind arising from ignorance, and the appearance of the mind being inseparable from the wind, only appearing as wisdom, accompanied by five lights, contemplate that the illusory body of the deity arises from it. This body can also be called the mind-made body. Therefore, in the "Holy Condensed Reality Sutra" it says: "Son of the lineage, abide equally, and individually perceive your own mind." It is also said in the "Sutra of the Door of Contemplation": "To achieve with external signs, even after countless kalpas, cannot be obtained. If one knows the nature of the inner mind's feelings, one can attain unsurpassed enlightenment in an instant." It is also said in the "Bodhi Treasury Sutra": "The mind, in an instant, possesses wisdom and attains unsurpassed enlightenment." Thus, transforming oneself into the body of Vajrasattva through the mantra of self-blessing is like the image of a painted body on a wall appearing in a mirror. The eighty excellent signs and characteristics that one never tires of seeing are clearly manifested individually, and the color of the body appears like a rainbow, hence it is called "individually appearing." Furthermore, in the "Wisdom Vajra Collected Tantra" it says: "The yoga of great bliss born from the mind and mind is the samadhi of great bliss. This is approximated by the metaphor of illusion. Therefore, the Tathagatas of the Buddha-fields as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River are like illusions, like the moon in water, like cataracts, like dreams, like echoes, like cities of gandharvas, like magic, like rainbows, like lightning, like water bubbles, like reflections in a mirror. The samadhi of great bliss is represented by twelve metaphors of illusion.
