Translated by Kalo. The unsurpassed teacher of gods and humans speaks of the perfection of cause and effect. I prostrate to the Buddha, the Bhagavan, who has comprehended all dharmas. I fully establish the Bhagavan who has perfectly realized the thirty-seven aspects of enlightenment, abandoned the ten non-virtues, possesses the four fearlessnesses, the three unmixed dharmas, mindfulness, great compassion, and so forth, and who has perfectly realized all the teachings that expand the unexcelled training. I fully establish this Buddha, the Bhagavan, the Sugata, who possesses immeasurable qualities and virtues. I fully establish the Bhagavan who has perfectly realized the five aggregates, such as unsurpassed morality, the three miracles, the four abodes of Brahma, and the four noble truths. Having mastered knowledge that is contrary to reality, and having attained power over wisdom, this Buddha, the Bhagavan, has abandoned the four maras, including afflictions. I will fully establish this Buddha, the Bhagavan. The Bhagavan possesses the ten perfections, immeasurable accumulations of merit and wisdom, is adorned with the thirty-two major marks of a great being, embellished with the eighty minor marks, whose form is never satisfied by seeing, and who, when seen, is never displeasing. In each class, one ultimately attains that form. He is the friend of all beings. I fully establish this Buddha, the Bhagavan. Then, open the eyes with a golden needle smeared with añjana, reciting: oṃ cakṣu cakṣu manta cakṣu viśodhana vajra svāhūṃ. Then, offer all kinds of special offerings. First, empower with a vase and offer bath water. Then, offer flowers, saying: This is the supreme flower, born from water and born from land. I offer it with supreme reverence. Please accept it as you please. oṃ vajra dīpa hūṃ. This is the supreme incense, incense that is born together and purified. I offer it with supreme reverence. Please accept it as you please. oṃ vajra dhūppe hūṃ. This butter lamp burns in all directions, dispelling all darkness.
