Therefore, from this time until the end of samsara, may this essence of the body, speech, and mind of the Tathagata become the object of prostration and the place of offering for me, the patron, and all sentient beings, become the excellence of accumulating merit, possess the power and generosity of a gentle face, great blessings, and protection of beings, may I and all sentient beings possess immeasurable and excellent splendor with longevity, strength, complexion, happiness, enjoyment, power, lineage, form, and beauty. May we be liberated from the lower realms and attain the state of happiness. May we attain the supreme enjoyment and become the auspicious protector of all sentient beings. May we be liberated from the suffering of body and mind and from unhappiness. May all wishes be fulfilled, and may we wholeheartedly devote ourselves to the Bodhicitta. May we abandon afflictions and near afflictions such as desire, hatred, ignorance, pride, arrogance, jealousy, and stinginess. May we attain the fruits of the Hearers, Solitary Buddhas, and unsurpassed Bodhi, and quickly attain the state of non-abiding Nirvana. After that, recite the verses of circumambulation and other scriptures, circumambulate and prostrate. Thereafter, it is the establishment of the basis of merit. After that, in order to increase the merit of the disciples, the teacher should accept offerings. As you have requested, as it is said in the consecration ritual, perform it truthfully with a compassionate heart, therefore, please make offerings with whatever you can afford. After that, the disciple offers whatever he can afford to the lama with devotion, and performs prostrations and circumambulations. This is the extensive ritual. The abbreviated ritual. The abbreviated ritual is that, on the basis of having done the recitation beforehand, without specially abiding, complete everything such as bathing in one day, and consecrate it as before. For the sake of consecration, the mandala should be based on the deity who performs the activity or consecration. The temple and so on should be done by Vairochana. For the purpose of pacifying harm, the rosaries of male and female yogis, etc., should be blessed with three syllables of mantra and then given. If it is not consecrated,

Thus it is said, people do not make offerings to a person who does not possess lineage. Likewise, for the supports of body, speech, and mind that have not been consecrated, prostrations and offerings are without fruit. Because it is devoid of mantra, it is like making a fire offering in ashes, without fruit. Therefore, the supports of body, speech, and mind, once built, should not be left for long. Because glory and wealth will decline, therefore, consecration should be done quickly. In order for children to understand without difficulty, the teachings and scriptures of the Sugata Lama, as well as the collected meanings of all the sutras and tantras, are written only in a clear manner. The order of the consecration ritual, composed by the teacher Krishnacharya, is complete. Translated by him and Gö Lhatse.
