Focus on this. If asked, what is its function? It enables the attainment of the two bodies. Thus, by practicing the illusory-like Dharma, one can attain the complete enjoyment body and the emanation body. Furthermore, there is also an explanation: Whoever indicates all things with the simile of illusion, and afterwards, from its form, no longer sees anything else, reaching the ultimate extent. Through the union of body, speech, and mind, this union can be accomplished. This is an intermediate verse. Next, the clear light will be explained, explaining its nature: Whatever is free from conceptualization, that is the nature of clear light. It means that being free from the conceptualization of the apprehended and the apprehender, that is the nature of clear light. Why is it so? Because it is naturally clear light, and in order to dispel all conceptualizations, it is called clear light. If asked, how many types are there? The clear light of knowledge and the knowable are explained here. It means that the clear light of the knowable is the Dharmadhatu, and the clear light of knowledge is wisdom. It also has two types, namely, naturally clear light and adventitious, the two that are free from defilements. This has already been explained. Explaining its synonyms: clear light, free from conceptualization, unconditioned. One should know that these are its synonyms. This is easy to understand. It is also said that through learning and non-learning, one should know that there are two types of clear light. Completely grasping and subsequently observing are called the clear light of learning. Non-learning is free from conceptualization, without object, pure, and primordially pure. Countless synonyms are spoken by the victorious ones and their sons. This is an intermediate verse. Furthermore: The cause is wisdom and samadhi, which transforms depending on the conventional truth. This is called time. When everything is without self-nature, that is the explanation of the ultimate extent. This is abiding in the Joyful Land. That is abandoning conceptualization and moving towards the higher realms. For the practitioner who is supreme in the signless, it arises truly through the union of one. When the hero was under the Bodhi tree, abiding in equanimity, the clear light was the beginning of the prophecy. Therefore, one should realize the clear light. This is an intermediate

It is the meaning of cutting off. Having thus extensively shown the clear light, now we will show the union. So, what is the nature of union? "Whatever is the non-dual wisdom, is the nature of union." It means that the wisdom that is free from all aspects of conceptualization is the nature of union. Why is this also called union? "Because it is non-dual and does not abide, because it is separate from two and focuses on two, therefore it is said to be union." It means that because it is non-dual, and because it does not abide in two, and because it is separate from two, and because it focuses on two at the same time, it is union. How many divisions are there? "By learning and non-learning, know that there are two unions." It means that whatever needs to be learned is the union of learning. The complete result of learning is the union of non-learning. It is also said, what are the names? "Non-learning and completion, union non-dual are names." This is in terms of non-learning. How many qualities does it have? "It is meditation and focuses on two, focuses on an instant and is unobstructed." It means that having these four aspects is union. Refuting objections to others is: "This is accomplished by this, not by others." This is refuting other views. So, what is the cause of what is called union? "Clear light and two aspects are the cause of the union of learning." It means that clear light and wisdom and meditation are the cause of the union of learning. So, what is the cause of the union of non-learning? "Bodhicitta and compassion, aspiration and its cause." It means that the intention to benefit sentient beings, and compassion and aspiration focused on the benefit of sentient beings, this is in terms of non-learning. Why is this also a cause? Whatever exists, that which arises is its cause. When does the time arise? "When clear light is perfected, then union should be cultivated." It means that when clear light is perfected, then union should be cultivated, that is the intention. What is the preliminary? The four stages are the preliminary.
