Chapter Eleven. Extensive Explanation of Answering Questions About the Realm of Sound. Chapter Eleven. Extensive Explanation of Answering Questions About the Realm of Sound. After Chapter Ten discussed answering questions about the realm of vows, now, in order to explain answering questions about the realm of sound, Chapter Eleven is presented, and to explain its branch, which is the composition of answers to questions about the realm of sound. Therefore, it is said, "Then," and so on. That is, after Chapter Ten. "Furthermore" refers to what came before. The meaning of mere sound is related to what is to be expressed. Sound is the form of the syllable Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ, hūṃ). That alone is mere sound. To ascertain its meaning here is the certainty of what is to be expressed. What does it do? Therefore, it is said, "Therefore," and so on. "By what" means by mere sound. Merely by gradually becoming accustomed to hearing, and so on. Attain the state of immutability. "Attain" means immutable because it has completely transcended the cycle of birth and death. "State" means the place of perfect abiding. "By the method of the very nature of mantra" is the remainder. Thus, after explaining the composition of answers to questions about the realm of sound, in order to actually compose its expression, as its branch, the essence is explained, saying, "From the lotus navel of the Dharma wheel." The Dharma wheel abides in the place of the heart. Its aquatic plant is the lotus, because its form is the essence of the eight channels. "Its navel" means the navel. True abiding is by the essence of the shape of the naturally accomplished channels. "Mere sound" means that Ata (ཨ་ཏ་) means to eat. Na (ན་) means to obstruct. That which is not eaten is Nada (ནཱ་ད་, nāda), that alone is mere Nada (ནཱ་ད་, nāda). Because it is finer than the measure of a dust mote, it is the artisan who makes the garland of the light of joy. Or, mere sound is supreme joy. Supreme is supreme; those things that have the appearance of spreading appearance are called that. Others say that abiding in the center of the Dharma wheel, the sound of the syllable Haṃ (ཧཾ, haṃ) is merely collected into parts and reaches the end of the Bindu. If asked what it is like, therefore it is said to be without parts.

It is said that when the mind is held on the essence of the bindu, it is because it is devoid of all parts. The so-called absence of appearance is because when the mind is held on the bindu, at the time of its manifestation, the external appearance disappears. The so-called non-duality is because there is no essence of duality, and it is also because the conceptualization of what is to be meditated on and what is to be meditated on is reversed. The so-called stainlessness is because all opposing factors have been subdued, and therefore the obscurations of afflictions and so on have been abandoned. The so-called absence of action is the absence of a doer. The so-called transcendence of example is because it is very difficult to represent, and because there is nothing else like it. The so-called absence of basis is because the basis is a distinction, such as birth, aging, and dwelling. The absence of that is the absence of basis. The so-called absence of support is the absence of support because of the absence of form. The so-called supreme is the particularly excellent form of the deity to be attained through the generation stage. The so-called Lord of Wisdom is the master of generating the wisdom of emptiness. The so-called peace is the essence of the complete pacification of all conceptualizations. Life and effort, etc. Abandoned, because it is the master of it, the movement of winds such as breath enters and there is no turning back. The yogis also are those who abide in the practice of the two stages. The so-called Lord of Gods is that the god is the god. This becoming the lord of them is the robber and so on. The so-called also is that it is difficult to find such even for those with great power, because they have not realized the nature of their own mind. Likewise, the so-called supreme is the essence of the supreme because it is not the realm of worldly people. The so-called peace is to be realized by the yogi who abides on the path beyond the world. The so-called great bliss is because it reverses the beginningless conceptualization that is in perfect union with the mind. The so-called abandonment of all aspects is that all appearances such as blue and yellow do not appear and
