Chapter Seven: Extensive Explanation of the Supreme Conduct of Mantras. Chapter Seven: Extensive Explanation of the Supreme Conduct of Mantras. Thus, and so on, the explanation of Chapter Seven will begin. The ordinary and supreme yogis refer to practitioners who cultivate the two stages. The three types of conduct have been explained in the Fifth Chapter. Having accurately shown, means having explained separately. The reason for further elaboration is to explain in detail and separately. The Great Samaya, the five Tathagatas expand and contract, therefore the Great Samaya is the Great Vajradhara. The six limbs refer to the characteristics of individual gathering, etc., and one will attain its rank, therefore one approaches it. The uncommon practitioner refers to the Fourth Vajra. Attaining their Abhisambodhi, means that with the six limbs and the four Vajras, one attains the Mantra Body and the Wisdom Body, which is Vajradhara itself. The chapter on its meaning, etc., is for the purpose of declaring it. With the distinction of ordinary and supreme, there are two kinds of approach: the ordinary is the Four Vajras, and the supreme is the Six Limbs. Thus it is said. All desires, with this, the conduct including elaboration will be shown, therefore it will begin. Forms and other objects refer to abiding in the mudra of the samaya or abiding separately. Experiencing and relying on it, means holding onto the order of individual gathering, and realizing the nature of the Tathagata through the limbs of meditation. Desire is aspiration, referring to the aspiration to grasp the objects of the Tathagata. Desire is the aspect of grasping, referring to the characteristics of inferiority, etc. With the eye, etc., refers to the six faculties. Forms, etc., refers to the six objects. Inferior, middling, and supreme ones, taking the appearance of oneness as the object, means that in the first moment of the faculties, the discrimination of inferiority, etc., will not arise, because it has transcended discrimination.

Transcending, it is manifestly called unerring. Understanding the meaning is understanding, arising correctly from the universal. Thus it is said. When the eyes and so forth grasp objects, there is no conceptualization of evil and so forth. With definite conceptualization, they are apprehended as non-existent, evil, intermediate, and supreme, because things are the nature of indivisible parts. The conceptualization that apprehends, because that is different from reality. The yogi also, and so forth, are the six consciousnesses of the eyes and so forth. Whatever arises that is desired, one should enjoy objects that are in accordance with those desires, as it is taught. As it is said: Whatever is the path of the senses, that itself is its nature. Without abiding in equipoise, by union, view all Buddhas as their own nature. By that path of the senses, the practitioner, having met with the object, should be impoverished in order to satisfy all the Thus-gone Ones. This comes from the Vajra Garland. Therefore, with the words "should rely on" and so forth, it is taught that conduct with elaboration should be taught. If asked what, with "what is it?" and so forth, the fruit of conduct is taught. The equal union of object and sense power means the separate gathering and the holding of the object of the limb of meditation, and the union of their pure nature. Vajradhara himself is swift, which means that after that the four-limbed yoga should be meditated upon. Here, the intention is this: for the time being, the first yogi, with the yoga of any of the deities such as Vairochana, having made faces, hand gestures, and shapes etc. out of wood, resides in a three-storied house. In the lower room, food and drink etc. are placed, in the middle room, those skilled in dance and music etc. are placed, and in the upper room, on a soft cushion, one sits with the pride of the central lord. In the four directions are placed four who are beautiful in form, well-adorned, with the mudra of vows, young in age, with the manner of the mother of the family, such as the Buddha Eye Mother, and on the outer boundary of those, are placed the Form Vajra Mothers etc.

Establish the mudras that possess the aspect of the four goddesses of Payul. Embrace a single samaya mudra yourself, and together with it, raise and touch the breasts and armpits, etc. Make the mind happy with a gaze of wide eyes, etc., experiencing the five desirable qualities, and remain until the great bliss arises, which is the characteristic of single-pointedness of mind. That is the practice with elaboration, which is the field of practice for the yogi of the generation stage. It is summarized by "Thus," etc. "After being empowered in the practice without elaboration" means that the second thing should be done, what is called "oneself in accordance with desire" is by the practice of how it is obtained. "Being master by the five desirable qualities" means abiding in the samaya mudra. Oneself is the self-nature. For others, the yogini samaya mudra should be satisfied, that is, entering into samadhi together with it. "By the illusion-like samadhi" means by the meditation of blessing oneself. "The asceticism of practice in temples, etc." means that it is asceticism because it is a great effort to accomplish them. "The vows of the twelve qualities of living under a tree, etc." means this: almsmen, three dharma robes, rag robes, felt robes, tree dwellers, uncovered, not taking later, one seat, cemetery dwellers, constant squatters, hermitage dwellers, these twelve qualities are related to physical fatigue. Their bodies are tired, but they will not realize that very reality. "Jumping from the mountain and entering the water, etc., are endless" means that the views of the tirthikas are like this: jumping from the mountain purifies the earth, jumping from the water purifies the water, entering the fire purifies the fire, dying without eating purifies the wind, and dying by transference purifies the space element. Similarly, the view of killing the elderly, etc., in order to liberate from suffering.
