Chapter Four. Extensive Explanation of the Mandala of the Hearts of All Tathagatas. Chapter Four. Extensive Explanation of the Mandala of the Hearts of All Tathagatas. Because one obtains the true body of a deity, and in order to subsequently guide others, one should draw a mandala, therefore, beginning with what is called "focusing on the deity," the explanation of the fourth chapter is composed. "With focusing on the deity as a preliminary" means that the deity's body, which is to be accomplished by the first union spoken of in the third chapter and the two samadhis of the supreme mandala victor, is the preliminary. "By meditating on the subtle yoga" means that it has become one aspect of the supreme samadhi of the action victor. Meditating on the bindu in the lotus of the mudra, and meditating on the three bindus on the tip of the nose, etc. "Having obtained distinction" means having obtained single-pointedness of mind, and that the Tathagatas have prophesied for the sake of doing the benefit of beings. "For the sake of empowering the disciples in the mandala of colored powders" means for the sake of bestowing wisdom empowerment and so forth in the mandala of colored powders that possesses signs. Therefore, this is the meaning that the master who has obtained power over the mind through the door of meditating on the subtle yoga empowers the disciple in the mandala of the heart. "The ritual of requesting the lama" means that the disciple requests the vajra master for the sake of entering the mandala. "According to the sound" and so forth should be understood by the word "etcetera." "Through the door of the immovable" means that among the five Tathagatas, the heart vajra is the main one. "By praise" means after having praised. "To please" means to request. "By the nature of Vairochana" means the nature of wisdom like a mirror, whose characteristic is the pacification of the elaborations of afflictions and cognitive obscurations, or the nature of performing peaceful activities. "Of all the Tathagatas" means the extremely pure nature that arises from the clear light of all the Tathagatas, namely the four great elements. "The place of those" means the place of arising.

That is the sky. Its essence is the meaning of Ratnasambhava Gem-born). The twelve scriptures, such as the Sutras, are all dharmas, and their perfectly pure nature, Amitabha Immeasurable Light), is the essence of perfectly pure speech. Alternatively, all dharmas are the nature of sentient beings and the world of containers. They are the cause of bodhicitta, because cause and effect are inseparable. The essence of bodhicitta, which is the cause of all dharmas, is none other than Amitabha Immeasurable Light). Alternatively, all dharmas are the discriminating wisdom that characterizes the complete performance of all dharmas, and its nature is that itself. The selfless one is the state of Vajradhara. The supreme three realms are attained through the wisdom of diligent accomplishment, therefore the supreme selflessness is Amoghasiddhi Unfailing Accomplishment). Furthermore, the supreme is the wind element of a moving nature. It is controlled and made invisible through the sequence of Vajra recitation, therefore, the selfless one, the supreme selflessness, is Amoghasiddhi Unfailing Accomplishment) itself. Because the wind element is perfectly pure. The essence of the three families means that the three families are summarized by the reasoning of Ratnasambhava (藏文:རིན་ཆེན་འབྱུང་ལྡན།,梵文天城体:ratna-sambhava,梵文罗马拟音:ratna-sambhava,汉语字面意思:Gem-born) and Amoghasiddhi (藏文:དོན་ཡོད་གྲུབ་པ།,梵文天城体:Amoghasiddhi,梵文罗马拟音:Amoghasiddhi,汉语字面意思:Unfailing Accomplishment) mentioned earlier, and this phrase should be added, which is the word for action and agent. The name of the mandala spoken of in this way is the characteristic described below. The deficient and excessive means that the mandala of the mind should be twelve cubits, and if it is deficient, such as eleven cubits, and if it is excessive, such as thirteen cubits. The fault is because the Bhagavan Great Vajradhara did not speak of it. Separated means that it is without that. The supreme of the body means that the nature of the perfectly pure body is the meaning of Vairocana Illuminator). Therefore, the chief of the body family praised the Vajra Acharya. The definite arising in ultimate truth means that all defiled and purified dharmas arise from luminosity. As it is said: Just as from rivers and milk, fish quickly rise, all empty
