Chapter Fifteen: Explanation of the Six Extremes of Illusory Samadhi Chapter Fifteen: Explanation of the Six Extremes of Illusory Samadhi In order to show that the accomplishments of actions such as the peace of what has been explained and what has not been explained cannot be achieved because they are separated from the complete knowledge of illusory Samadhi, therefore, the fifteenth chapter, beginning with "Then," and so on, was taught. The so-called "King Vajradhara" is the great Vajradhara. The so-called "all space" is the nature of the four emptinesses. The so-called "immutable great" is the indestructible. The so-called "all empowerment" is the empowerment by all empowerments. The so-called "omniscient" is because it has become the nature of all lineages. The so-called "three vajras" is the indivisible speech. The so-called "bestowed teachings" is what has been spoken, because it is not intention but explanation. In order to show the practice without elaboration, the content beginning with "one with moles" and so on is explained. The so-called "daughter of one with moles" is the daughter of a bad lineage. Because she has qualities such as faith, she is a great self. The so-called "daughter of twelve years old" refers to the age of twelve years old. The so-called "especially in a secluded place" means that one should practice in a secluded place far away from the gathering of people. The so-called "practitioner" refers to letting them learn the tantras and mantras well. The so-called "always" means to study well at all times, because there is a danger of forgetting. The so-called "practice" refers to learning and mastering mantras and tantras well. In order to show the complete practice of the place, the content beginning with "excrement" and so on is explained. The so-called "excrement" refers to dried feces. The so-called "urine" refers to cow urine. Because it itself has become a part of practice and truly exists, therefore, whatever is a vow, etc., is the so-called "excrement, urine, vow, etc." The word "etc." also includes sandalwood, etc. The so-called "there as in the ritual" refers to the mandala ritual here, that is, by that ritual. The so-called "make the mandala square" means that the square is used to symbolize that it should be understood as fully equipped with four doors, etc.

It should be done. How is it done? The phrase "by meditating on the Vajra Mandala" means that the Vajra Mandala is the Mandala of Akshobhya. Therefore, by meditating on it and making it clear, it is said, "by meditating on the Vajra Mandala," meaning that the Mandala should be adorned with the forms of the deities of the Mandala. All the characteristics, from the feet onwards to the hair, are the auspicious signs that completely purify and are close to blazing. The most excellent is that which is not attached to others. The face is also beautiful, meaning to look closely at the practitioner. All the ornaments are skilled in delight, and their perfection is without limit. Such a mole-marked girl, well-trained, placed in the lap, that is, placed together with me in the center of the Mandala and thus meditated upon, will fulfill the desired meaning. The phrase "five Mandalas" refers to the five families. The phrase "wheel ye" refers to their wheels. The phrase "Buddha's body" refers to the body of the practitioner, and such meditation is generation. The phrase "possessing the wheel of mantra" means that the secret offering place of the practitioners is delightful, and these supreme offerings should be meditated upon. Thus, the body, speech, and mind of the practitioner are Vajradhara, and one should contemplate oneself as the body of the great Vairocana residing in the center of the Mandala. How is it done? Meditation mantras, such as Akshobhya, etc.

That which is called, is that the union of Vajrasattva itself is the ritual. Having done that union, one should begin all activities, meaning that together with it, one should do whatever activities one desires. That which is called, "This is," and so forth, that which is called, "all mantras," refers to Ratnasambhava, Amitabha, and Amoghasiddhi. "Samaya" refers to the ritual of accomplishment. That which is called, "very difficult to transgress," is that it should not be transgressed by the practitioner. That which is called, "That immediately," is that in meditation itself, one becomes like the light of Vajrasattva. That which is called, "like the light of Vajrasattva," is that one becomes like the splendor of jewels, that is, endowed with that yoga. That which is called, "equal to all Dharma Kings," is that because one is endowed with that union, one becomes equal to Amitabha, the Dharma King who holds all the Dharma. That which is called, "perfectly accomplishing light and liberation," is that the yogi of the Karma family, because he is endowed with that union, perfectly accomplishes desires and liberation, and becomes like Amoghasiddhi. That which is called, "Vajra Dharma," and so forth, is to show the special ritual of the Amitabha yogi, that which is called, "meditating on Vajra Dharma," is through the union of Amitabha. That which is called, "extremely beautiful," is that it is red or blue. That which is called, "good face," is that it looks with joy at the practitioner. That which is called, "eyes are long," is that one is endowed with wisdom. That which is called, "the practitioner should always practice," is that one should always learn. That which is called, "That," is the practitioner who has entered in that way. That which is called, "having the nature of Vajra Dharma," is the essence of Amitabha, and one will abide on the ten bhumis. That which is called, "holding the samaya of the King of Speech," is that one becomes the Lord of Speech, that is, holding it. That which is called, "supreme of all excellent lords," is that one excels from all sentient beings who possess excellent lordship, and becomes a sovereign Chakravartin king, because this is the yoga of contemplation. Thus, having thoroughly shown the distinctions of the mudras of the yogis of contemplation, in order to show the mudras of those who abide in the Completion Stage, therefore, it was said, "Brahmin," and so forth, that is, from the four castes.
