Chapter Fourteen: Explaining the Collection of Peaceful and Other Activities in Detail with Six Extremes. Chapter Fourteen: Explaining the Collection of Peaceful and Other Activities in Detail with Six Extremes. Now, in order to show that after following the four kinds of mantra practitioners, one should practice the collection of peaceful and other activities, therefore, the fourteenth chapter, starting from "Then," etc., is taught. Among them, first of all, the order of the collection of activities should enter the spoken tantra, that is: peaceful and increasing, perform them during the waxing moon. Subjugation and fierce activities, etc., begin during the waning moon. Face north for peaceful activities, similarly, face east for increasing activities. Fierce activities face south, and subjugation activities face west. Killing activities face the fire direction, and for causing hatred, face the unreal place. Expulsion from a place faces the wind direction, and suppression faces the powerful direction. The color of peaceful activities is white, and increasing activities are done in yellow. Subjugation and attraction are red, and black is used for killing. Perform peaceful activities with a loving mind, perform increasing activities with a joyful mind, perform subjugation activities with an attached mind, and perform killing activities with an angry mind. Peaceful activities are mostly performed in the evening, similarly, increasing activities are performed in the morning. Subjugation and fierce activities are performed at noon and midnight. Abiding in the completion stage, relying on the time of inner self-nature, perform peaceful and other activities, this is the special point. As it is said in the tantra by the Bhagavan, Vajrapani asked: Bhagavan, what is the time of inner self-nature? The Bhagavan replied: Vajrapani, the time of inner self-nature is a great secret, extremely secret, extremely subtle, blessed by the mind of enlightenment, it is wisdom for the liberation of beings. The practice of mantras is for accomplishment. Peaceful and increasing activities, as well as subjugation and fierce activities, the Bhagavan is not to be grasped, it is peace, the nature of mind is thus the Tathagata. The fragrance of a flower depends on the flower, likewise, it dwells in the heart of beings. The order is as the order, it dwells in the time of half a session. Fire, wind, great powerful one, and water, are each their own mandala.

Red, black, and also yellow, and white, these are the condensed essence. Thus it is said. Therefore, this will show: When the mandala of water resides in the lotus of the heart, at the time of its arising, the rays appear white and remain for half a thun, at that time great peace will be achieved. When the mandala of the Great Powerful One resides in the lotus of the anus, at the time of its arising, the rays appear yellow and remain for half a thun, at that time there will be increase. When the mandala of fire resides in the lotus of the secret place, at the time of its arising, the rays appear red and remain for half a thun, at that time control and attraction will be performed. When the mandala of wind resides in the lotus of the navel, at the time of its arising, the rays appear black and blue and remain for half a thun, at that time fierce actions will be performed. Now we shall enter the chapter, beginning with "Then" and so on. All the Tathagatas are Akshobhya and so on. The vows are the goddesses. Their lord is the Great Vajradhara. Pacification is the near pacification of plagues and so on. Because it does that, it is the vow of pacification. It is supreme because it is thus distinguished, having entered into the special state of the samadhi called "Thus." All the Tathagatas refers to the practitioners. Because they are to be held by them, they are the consorts, that is, the dharani mantras. It is extracted and spoken from the condensed body, speech, and mind vajra of that very one. Om (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Devanagari: ओ, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Om) and so on are the mantras, and the name is "Emanation." As it is said in the Vajra Pinnacle Tantra: "In the beginning, endowed with Om (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Devanagari: ओ, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Om), in the end, endowed with Svaha (Tibetan: སྭཱ་ཧཱ, Devanagari: स्वाहा, Romanized Sanskrit: svāhā, Literal Chinese meaning: Svaha), this is known by the mantra masters as emanation, which is of the nature of peaceful actions." Thus it is said. Having shown the name of the mantra, now the meaning of the mantra will be explained. Like this: the letters A, U, and Om (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Devanagari: ओ, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Om), because they have become the nature of the three vajras, it is called Om (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Devanagari: ओ, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Om). It is taking merit. In "Ruru," the sound of "Ru" is the abode of the deities of the mantra. "Puru" is Puru Spharana, which is to make clear. "Jvala" is to be very, very radiant and splendid. "Tistha" is to fulfill all my thoughts.
