Chapter Two: Explanation of Bodhicitta Primarily Based on Ultimate Truth. Chapter Two: Explanation of Bodhicitta Primarily Based on Ultimate Truth. Having generated excitement through meditating on the yoga of the two forms of deities, in order to dispel it, the second chapter on Bodhicitta, primarily based on ultimate truth, is to be composed. Starting with "Then." All Tathagatas are Vairochana, etc. The Bhagavan who has obtained mastery over wisdom, the lord of body, speech, and mind of all Tathagatas is the Great Vajradhara. Offerings to him are made with outer, inner, and secret characteristics, and prostrations are also made. Then, one prays thus, which means one asks thus. Its meaning is this: From one's own heart, emanate five goddesses, such as Rupavajri, and they offer perfectly with the five types of offerings, such as flowers, and Sparshavajri also makes the offering of absorption. Then, with the mind of non-duality, like butter into butter, one prostrates and thus doubts arise about Vairochana, etc., this is what is shown. Also in the Vibhanga it says: Just as water merges into water, just as butter merges into butter, one's own wisdom merges into oneself, that is prostration. However, if there is no omniscient realization, then it is invisible. When covered by a multitude of darkness, one obtains a lamp through kindness. Therefore, what is asked? What is called body, speech, and mind, etc., is: O Bhagavan, the one who subdues all afflictions and pure habitual tendencies, O Great Vajradhara, Bodhicitta, Bodhi is luminosity, and Citta is entering into its essence, please explain the three consciousnesses. How to explain? What is called essence is the nature of Dharmata. Similarly, what is called the supreme of the pervasive distinctions of body, speech, and mind is surpassing with the nature of all emptiness, thus it is shown. All Tathagatas are those who make the aggregates, etc., invisible. Because it is not shown to the yogis of the generation stage, it is secret. The unsurpassed is the state of non-learning.

Combine that Bodhicitta with the former. That is the Completion Stage. Starting with "Then," etc., everything is empty. To the Tathagatas who possess faith and delight in the nature of self, as the Great Vajradhara revealed it, so it is said, that is, the body, speech, and mind Vajra of all Tathagatas do not appear, that is, the six Tathagatas. That itself is praying to all the Tathagatas, that is, knowing the request and loving, etc., the complete distinctions of other Bodhisattvas, that is, the ultimate truth distinctions residing in the mind, knowing with the power of illusion, with one's own wisdom. To them, it is declared in this way, that is, it shows that the very nature to be explained below is spoken. That is also the Completion Stage. Starting with "Your mind," etc., that is, you are referring to the Tathagatas and Bodhisattvas, etc. Starting with "Mind like body," etc., mind is the nature of the eight consciousnesses. "That like body" means that the body is not different from it, thus generating Samadhi. Similarly, the body is the lord of the nine gates. "Mind like" means that mind alone is the body, not different from it. Similarly, "Mind like speech" means that whatever speech, this is spoken in the order of letters, words, and speech, etc., that also in that aspect, mind is to generate intention. That is said in this way, that is, do not grasp the distinction between this mind, this speech, and this body. Because all dharmas are empty in nature, they appear in various forms due to dependent origination, like images appearing in a mirror, appearing separately due to the power of illusion, but the ultimate truth is not so. As it is said: From things, things are not born. From non-things, there is also no birth. Due to the illusion of things, things are born, like flowers in the sky. Similarly: From the emptiness of dharmas, empty dharmas arise. Meaning, lamp, mirror. Hundred. Crystal, seed, acid, and sound. Thus it appears.

Also in the Explanation of the Mind of Enlightenment, it is said: Form is explained as being like a bubble. Feeling is like a water bubble. Perception is like a mirage. Formations are like a plantain tree. Consciousness is like an illusion. Thus, the aggregates are shown. Thus, do not generate a differentiating mind because the nature of things is empty; this is the completion stage. Then, in the phrase "and so forth," bodhisattvas are loving-kindness and so forth. The body, speech, and mind of all the Tathagatas are the great Vajradhara, the nature of emptiness of all things. Union in the manner of space is truly uniting with the nature of clear light, taking the illusory body and reciting specifically; this is specifically recited. This is self-blessing. Emaho! This is wonderful! Samantabhadra is the great Vajradhara. How is it? Body, speech, and mind are the nature of the Vajradhara of the three realms; you are the knower. What is the principle of no birth? It is showing the clear light. From this, all things arise. Fame is showing; this is self-blessing. Also in the Discrimination, it is said: Just as a fish quickly leaps out of the water of its own nature, so too does the net of illusion arise from the emptiness of all things. So it is said. Now, in order to show the clear light by the six Tathagatas with six verses, the phrase "then" and so forth is spoken. The body, speech, and mind of all the Tathagatas, the Vajra Tathagata, is the great Vajradhara. All the Tathagatas, whichever of the five wisdoms manifestly and completely awaken to enlightenment, is the emptiness of all things, separate from knower and known. The principle of that is the means, the stage of Vajra recitation. Having entered into the samadhi of meditating on that distinction, the mind of enlightenment ༄། །This mind is the cause for obtaining the state of clear light, so these words are spoken. The phrase "no thing" and so forth refers to the mantras that arise from the external teeth and lips, etc., which are momentary and destroyed by the word "tam," so meditating on "no thing" is its nature, which is the recitation of speech.
