Explanation of the Meaning of Chapter Seven Explanation of the Meaning of Chapter Seven ༄། །If one does not know the meaning of how the nature of all dharmas abides, and those who perform actions do not understand the benefits, then they are ignorant of all the doors of action, like acting within the secret command of the king of the assembly of Reṇābu. It is like acting according to all the treatises examined by a gathering of the blind. Because they are unable to accomplish these, relying only on the history of knowledge does not bring benefit, like a jewel on the head of a nāga, or like nectar that eats six tastes at the end of an action. Because they are unable to practice these, even if they practice and accumulate, it is of no benefit, like the Brahmin woman Good Beauty, or like the queen Precious Conduct Mother. They also, due to past history and so on, have not practiced this, and because they are separated from the limbs of the means of practice, they cannot enter. They do not believe and do not cultivate the experience of the clear meaning in their own minds. This is like entering a path without any treatise history, and undertaking actions without the collection of causes and conditions, like a householder of good discernment entering the position of a carpenter, or like practicing in the wheel spoken by King Rāhu. All of these have not been applied to actions through the door of perfection, and because they have not tamed their own minds, they cannot increase in power and enter, like the enjoyment of Māpama, and like the wheel of a householder with friends. Their basis of support arises from the nature of the first path. If there are those who wish to undertake other actions relying on that path, it will be like the four divisions of the army of King Gold Protector, so one should reject the thought of self-satisfaction. Their characteristics are that the support is weakened, they do not possess a place, they have not entered the mandala, and they have not seen or obtained the meaning that arises from it, like the parrot Speech King and the Brahmin girl Blue Lotus, and the son of King Protector of the Land, and the son of Three Beautiful Garlands, and King ༄། །Savior Lion and others. Therefore, the meaning that arises from Chapter Seven is

It is the first of all. As the Root Tantra says: Whatever the practice of actions, if it is not complete by relying on it, whatever the subsequent actions are, none will be accomplished. So it is said. The general characteristic of these is from the Seventh Discrimination: Relying on a place with perfect completeness, the preliminary recitation is completed, the ground is prepared and the place is established, creating image mandalas and so on, offering tormas, performing fire pujas, auspicious deeds, entering initiations and so on, for the sake of maturing and liberating oneself and others, practice as the holy teachings say. So it is said. Among these, first, to briefly show the image mandala. After that, there are others to be said. Vajrasattva, the glorious deity, is the supreme of all kinds of forms, the transformation of all wheels, to please the supreme secret, all nature follows and practices. Because it is the appropriate time to show the image mandala, for the sake of empowerment, accumulating merit, protection, consecration, and so on, with a more excellent sequence than the previous impure deeds, with the means of knowing the mudras of all mandalas, with the differences of various postures, all the visualizations of the mandalas should be combined. In the past, the way the mandala was transformed and explained on the top of Mount Sumeru appeared vast, that is, from the mandala of glorious Vajrasattva: in the form of the transformation of all wheels, it is shown through the gate of the seven-limbed hero. And, starting from the person who is the basis, until the completion of the branches of the rituals such as initiation, it is declared as a branch of practice for the followers, and it is shown for the transformation of all wheels. End of words. ༄། །The two feet of the mother, the three places of inner, outer, and secret are all solitary places, and they should be practiced with all completeness. Again, as the Root Tantra says: The vast mandala of arrangement, transformed on the top of Mount Sumeru, according to the appearance of the beings to be tamed, the way the mandala is transformed, for the sake of capturing future beings, that is it.
