Explanation of the Meaning of Chapter Three Explanation of the Meaning of Chapter Three ༄། །Those who wish to ultimately accomplish the benefit of themselves and others through great compassion should apply the two practices to their activities. Why? Because it is the supreme limb, it arises from it and does not need to be established separately. Those who have not practiced austerities for a long time through the door of reliance must first establish the foundation of the common path. As it is said in the root tantra: "Practice applies accomplishment to activity. From the accomplishment of the supreme mudra, the fruit of the activities of benefiting oneself and others, although perfect, is to be practiced by the first activity, through the door of common accomplishment. Practice increases qualities, and practice applies to activity. Having pleased the lama for a long time, and having begun with the assembly of the limbs of the ritual. Those who are of inferior intelligence, without faith or diligence, and who are devoid of bodhicitta, compassion, and wisdom, who are deceived by doubt and conceptualization, will not achieve success even if they practice for a long time." Thus it is. Its general name is: This is the yoga bhagavan, Vajrasattva Tathagata, the union of all Buddhas, the supreme bliss of the illusory dakini, the close practice of nearness and direct perception. The means of entering yoga through the four doors, destroying the net of the two obscurations, and possessing the light of the two qualities, this is the supreme means of representing the meaning of what is said as it is, it is the nature of non-duality. What is it like? It is the path that connects with the spontaneously accomplished nature of the six bodies of glorious Vajrasattva, possessing the aspect of limbs, that is, the Tathagata. That is the aspect of the illusory dakini of bliss that unites equally with all Buddhas. Therefore, the root tantra says: "With the supreme path, the four limbs of close practice, apply yourself to the desired activity. Through the power of entering through the door of means, the Bhagavan is made clear." Thus it is. What is the goal of the fruit of the meaning to be expressed, and what is practiced only with that in mind? It is connected to the position of the six bodies, six wisdoms, and six families, and with the harmonious activities of those, it is connected to the nature of the purified activities from the door of the six objects.
