Chapter One: Commentary on Establishing the Innate Wisdom. Chapter One: Commentary on Establishing the Innate Wisdom. In Indian language: Śrībuddhakapālamahātantrarājatīkāabhayapadwatīnāma. In Tibetan: Called "The Great Commentary on the King of the Glorious Buddha Skull Tantra, the Commentary Treatise of Fearlessness." Homage to glorious Vajrasattva! At the end of the eon, supremely gentle, radiating great light, enjoying with the mother of immeasurable beings. Various assemblies gather, extremely vast, possessing a body of supreme joy, sentient beings are: complete enlightenment, possessing the bliss of co-emergence, playing and entering the heart. Practicing with pure conduct, therefore fearless, this truly reveals without secrets. Those granted by the Vajra Goddesses, even heard in dreams, through their blessings, this commentary is made on the Buddha Skull. Certainly, I am the Vajra Holder, the first protector blessed by him. Because the words spoken by him are like speaking to one's own ears. Noble individuals who rely on joy, the virtuous are pure and joyful. Those who have this and see evil realms in this life, entering into long-term affairs. From the fearless commentary treatise, whatever supreme Dharma arises, able to endure, abiding in the Middle Way, able to touch the incomparable perfection. The Buddha Skull Tantra possesses fourteen chapters, the teacher and subject of this are the Bhagavan Buddha Skull. Thus, the connection between what is to be taught and the teacher, and the connection between what expresses and what is to be expressed, are stated. The necessity is for the disciples to realize the meaning of the Buddha Skull. The great bliss like a vajra, and the great seal accomplishment that benefits all beings equally, is the necessity of the necessity. Thus, from "Thus I have heard" etc. to "accomplished" ༄། །The ultimate beginning is the introduction. Because when this exists, emptiness can enter. The gathering of time, place, teacher, and retinue is the introduction of the teaching. Without this,

Because the teacher is unreasonable. In this regard, with "Thus I have heard" and so on, one should gather his Dharma, and similarly, after understanding in order, the Tathagata said in the sutra of gathering the correct Dharma, therefore, the gatherer gathered it as it is. Who is the gatherer here? If you say there is none, what is this? Because only what the Tathagata has permitted is what he proclaims, therefore, here only the Tathagata's teachings are. Also, because it is entrusting the tantra, it is said to be Vajrapani. In this regard, what should be gathered is not reversed, and all the meanings of the tantra are clarified by the phrase "Thus". After that, it should be understood that the letter "Thus" has the meaning of all the meanings of the tantra. The meaning of the tantra also abides in the nature of wisdom and means, the nature of the limbs of the two letters, as taught. "I" refers to the gatherer, "I". "Hearing" refers to the words of ear consciousness and the understanding of the meaning of mind consciousness, but this is not directly realized by me, because the Tathagata alone understands everything in this Dharma, so it is respect for the Dharma. After such a general explanation, the beginning is specifically explained in order, that is, "At one time" and so on. One is produced by many accumulations of merit and wisdom, which cannot be measured by the sun, moon, stars, etc., and is some kind of inconceivable time difference. Moreover, here it is said that the nature of four kshanas is time. That one time is what the Tathagata abides in, and is connected with abiding by the transformation of words. Here there is བྷ་ག་ཡོད་དོ་ ༄། །, which refers to Bhagavan, that is, having qualities such as freedom. As it is said: Freedom, form and fame, splendor, wisdom and diligence, these six perfections are called auspiciousness. Or, because he has conquered the four maras, he is Bhagavan. Or, understanding all dharmas, definitely knowing the afflictive maras, etc., the wisdom that must be eliminated is victory, because he has this nature, so he is Bhagavan. This is said in the Vajrasekhara Sutra.

pa. Wisdom destroys afflictions, therefore it is said that wisdom destroys (afflictions). Thus it is. The Tathagata is also it, and everything is also it, so it is said that all Tathagatas, that is, Akshobhya and others. Those are their body, speech, and mind. Vajra is emptiness. Its nature is great, that is, the fulfillment of self and other benefits, alam, extremely supreme, that is, any of the actions and activities is a great adornment, Vajra Pride Mother is the nature of Prajnaparamita. Its center is the mind of Bodhi, taking and holding, so the mandala is Dharma-arisen. The body, speech, and mind of all Tathagatas are also it, and it is also the Vajra Great Adornment Mandala. The nature of the body, speech, and mind of all Tathagatas here is also of the same taste as it. It is also for this reason that it is triangular, that is, its center. Although the palace is not mentioned here, it should be understood that there is a palace in the center of the Dharma-arisen, just as saying that a rich man lives in a city is understood as living in a mansion in the city. Not saying it like that is for the purpose of mainly showing the place of great bliss, and the palace is also of the same taste as it. Or Vajra is emptiness Dharma-arisen, and there the Great Adornment Mandala is the center of the palace. In the place where it appears like that, the Bhagavan abides, therefore, one should clearly recognize the co-emergent body that is inseparable from emptiness and compassion, and just that body also shows the tantra, and also shows that it is of the same taste as it. Having said the perfection of time, place, and speaker, the perfection of the retinue is said, everything, etc., that is, the Tathagatas such as Akshobhya, and the yoginis such as Samantabhadri, and the noble Ananda and others also abide. Holding detachment is a symbol of the Shravaka vehicle, therefore, the practitioners of the Paramita vehicle also only through the Vajrayana
