Chapter One: Explanation of Ascertaining Wisdom Chapter One: Explanation of Ascertaining Wisdom In Sanskrit: Śrī Buddhakapālitantrasya Pañcīkājñānavatīnāma. Homage to the glorious Heruka! The body to be accomplished, the supreme bliss-born sixteen joys, the giver; Above the bindu in the front and inside, sound, omniscience, mind, reality, nature; The support of one's own joy, the accumulation of qualities, the essence of the assembly of enlightenment; Real and unreal, the nature of existence, dispelling fear, homage to the various assemblies. The Buddha-Kapala Tantra, spoken by the various assemblies, As the guru has explained, and as other tantras have seen, Thus, I will explain a little. Here, briefly, is the statement, what is to be stated, the need, and the need of the need: The statement is the tantra. What is to be stated is the meaning of the tantra. The need is to realize the yoga of the deity. The need of the need is to act for the benefit of sentient beings. If, although the Blessed One himself dwells in the form of the teacher and so on, nevertheless, his own nature is separately shown as the form of the Blessed Mother. Then, Vajrapani heard from the Blessed Mother. Wishing to collect the tantra, he spoke thus there, which is the word of collection. Hearing means that I have heard from the Blessed Mother in this way and combined it. In this statement, "I have heard," E is said to be Sa, which is the nature of Locanā. Vaṃ is said to be water, which is the nature of Māmakī. Ma is said to be fire, which is the nature of Pāṇḍaravāsinī. Yā is said to be wind, which is the nature of Tārā. The four letters are also truly explained as the four mudras. Because it increases beings with the nature of emptiness, it is a mudra. In the statement "I have heard," it is not hearing with ear consciousness. What then? Na, at one time. At one time means that there are three times: the time of happiness, the time of suffering, and the time of the inconceivable. The entering breath is happiness.

It is the time of... The arising wind is the time of suffering. The nature of these two maturing without distinction is the time of inconceivable maturation. Why is the name Bhagavan? Because of possessing complete fortune, it is Bhagavan. Also, because of subduing the four maras, it is Bhagavan. Therefore, because it possesses subduing, it is called Bhagavan. All the Vajras of body, speech, and mind of all Tathagatas, since they are everything and also Tathagatas, therefore they are all Tathagatas. Their body, speech, and mind are Vajra, because they cut through the mountain of ignorance, hence Vajra. Ignorance is not understanding the aggregates, elements, and sense bases, which is another name for the obscuration of knowledge. Vajra is non-dual wisdom, which is another name for the form of prajna. The great mandala in the center of adornments, since it is both a great mandala and adorned, therefore it is a great adorned mandala. That itself is the mandala. Mandala is essence, and la is taking, meaning taking the essence. In that center, first explain the complete nirvana of Bhagavan, and combine it with change. If asked, what is the difference? Answer: All Tathagatas refers to the five Buddhas such as Vairochana, who are the nature of the five aggregates. Yogini refers to Yamari, the tusked mother, etc. Abiding refers to another name for their adornment. In that place, the retinue is spoken of, the noble Ananda and other monks free from attachment, surrounded by... Bhagavan. Not only those free from attachment, therefore it is said, the noble Avalokiteshvara, etc., refers to another name for being surrounded by the great Bodhisattvas such as the noble Avalokiteshvara. Eighty kotis of Bodhisattvas also abide together, which refers to another name for being the same as the number of eighty kotis. Who are the Bodhisattvas who possess the diligence of Bodhisattvas? They are the Bodhisattvas. Method.

"Staying in one place" means staying together with all the Bodhisattvas in the center of that mandala. In what way was the passing away of the Bhagavan spoken of? "Then" means after that. A (藏文:ཨ་,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:A) is the shape of a bindu. Ta (藏文:ཐ་,梵文天城体:त,梵文罗马拟音:ta,汉语字面意思:Ta) means that the Bhagavan's heart dwells in the bindu. If you wonder what the difference is, it is said "with the words of the Vajra." Vajra is the nature of non-dual wisdom, dwelling in the wheel of manifestation. Its word is the nature of the means of dwelling in the wheel of Dharma. The nature of these becoming non-dual is the Bhagavan. The so-called "place of the Great Vajra" is the place of the state of the Great Vajradhara, so it exists together with the wheel of Dharma and the wheel of manifestation. If you ask what the difference is, it is said, "All the tantras and mantras are truly taught." The sound of all the tantras refers to Guhyasamaja and so on. Mantras refer to A (藏文:ཨ་,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:A) and Hum (藏文:ཧཱུཾ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Hum) and so on. Truly teaching in those places is the meaning of "Great Bliss." Therefore, if you wonder what kind of different Bhagavan to ask, ༄། It is said, "The Lord of all Tathagatas," that is, Vajradhara. Thus it is also said: "The Lord of all the glorious Buddhas, The state of the Great Vajradhara, All the means of the Buddhas arise, That itself is the Dharmata of all dharmas." It means to generate all Buddhas. The so-called "truly joining the Vajra and the Padma" means that the Vajra touches the Padma, and with that union, there is true bliss. The so-called "in the lotus palace of the consort" refers to the lotus palace of the consorts such as the eye mother. The so-called "Parinirvana" means transforming into the form of Bodhicitta. Parinirvana means completely. Nirvana means definitely liberated from conceptual thoughts, which is the meaning of the nature of Dharmakaya. The so-called "seeing that Parinirvana" means seeing that Dharmakaya. The so-called "all Bodhisattvas" refers to Bodhicitta.
