Explanation of the Third Chapter on Others' Seats. Explanation of the Third Chapter on Others' Seats. ༄། །Thus, for a yogi who meditates, the supreme accomplishment does not change even without drawing a mandala. The nature that transcends samsara, listen, Great Vajra King! Thus, the chapter on the mandala begins. Since the naturelessness of the five aggregates and so on has already been explained in the chapter on emptiness, it is not elaborated here. How to look equally, etc., is easy to understand. The nature of non-dual wisdom, listen, Vajra itself! Thus, it speaks of the complete purification of phenomena. In order to make it unsurpassed, these three joined palms should be spoken. It means that after generating the Bodhicitta, one should make offerings to the unsurpassed Buddha. Combining with the syllable Hūṃ, prostration and destruction are placed at the end. That is, the syllable Hūṃ ༄། །is well combined. It means that the syllable Hūṃ should be combined between prostration and destruction, as many as there are. As soon as it is done, it becomes the mantra Oṃ Hūṃ Phaṭ (藏文:ཨོཾ་ཧཱུཾ་ཕཊ།,梵文天城体:ओṃ हूँ फट्,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ hūṃ phaṭ,汉语字面意思:嗡,吽,啪). With that mantra, one's own hands are visualized as vajras, and after examining the positions of the five Tathāgatas, the ground will be purified. Then, with a very fragrant scent, a square mandala is made. With five colored powders, eight lotus petals are drawn. In the center of it, a vase of all accomplishments is placed. On the eastern petal, a dot of five colors is placed. On the southern petal, a vajra is placed. On the northern petal, a bell is placed. On the western petal, a conch shell filled with nectar and other vessels are drawn as a mandala. A red thread is wrapped around it completely and placed. Below that, the Vajra Acharya, with the pride of the wisdom Ḍākinī, makes offerings with flowers, incense, perfume, garlands of flowers, divine food, tormas, and things for near use. Below that, again, with both hands clenched into vajra fists, placed upside down on the tip of the nose, stretched out in all directions, the obstacles are destroyed with this mantra. Briefly, which and which of you earth lords and gods
