The Explanation of the Secret Seat. The Explanation of the Secret Seat. First, Separated by Stages. Now, in order to explain the Secret Seat, it is said, "The teachers," and so on. "The teachers should be grasped." This means that they should be grasped and understood for the sake of learning the means of accomplishment, and it is related to "Listen." How is it? It is said, "Endowed with mantras, mudras, union, etc." "Mantras" refers to mantras such as those that pacify. "Mudra" refers to mudras of the body, etc. Among these, the mudra of the body is the mudra of the hands. The mudra of speech is indicated by the actions of speech, that is, the symbol of speech. The mudra of mind is indicated by meditation, that is, whatever form of the deity, such as color, shape, and face, is conceived in the mind, that is the mudra of mind. "Union" refers to samadhi. The word "etc." includes the suchness of the mandala, etc., and is endowed with these. Just as through the path, from samsara, the nature of liberation, Vajra, listen. In this statement, because one observes and understands through it, the path is the treatise. "Just as" is according to its order. Because one is liberated from samsara through it, the one who liberates from samsara is the teacher. "Nature" is its own nature. Vajrapani asked again. "Teacher," and so on. "With what kind of qualities" is related to "should be observed." "How should one call a lama?" is like saying, "What is the meaning of calling a lama by that name?" "How should one associate with a teacher?" refers to "What kind of characteristics are suitable for becoming a teacher?" "How to observe" refers to "How to focus." The answer is given. "All," and so on. "All" refers to all-knowing, ༄། path-knowing, and all-aspect knowing. Because one knows and indicates these characteristics through it, the characteristic is the name of the teacher. That is, one is empowered with the name of the Tathagata. "Bodhi" refers to what should be known, and its nature is suchness. "The body is all the Buddhas."
