Chapter One Chapter One ༄། Now, in order to explain the peaceful and other fire offerings on other seats, the giving of torma, and the characteristics of disciples, the first chapter is spoken, such as "Deity." "What is the form of the deity?" means, in the activity of peaceful and other fire offerings, what is the form of the deity, that is, the yoga of the deity? What kind should be observed? This is the remaining part. "Peaceful fire offering, etc." means the activity of peaceful and other fire offerings, which is connected to "How is it done?" "Having Torma" means that Torma is a component of the fire offering. "Having" is the union, that is, the deity yoga at the time of giving Torma. "How is it done?" is connected to the previous sentence, "Please listen from the Bhagavan." Or, how is the activity of peaceful and other fire offerings done? What is the union of the deity's form like? How should the Torma be given? Connect it like this. The word "etc." includes "How to observe the characteristics of the disciples?" In order to answer, "Form, etc." is mentioned, "Form ༄།" is the union of the deity's form. "Thinking" is meditation. The word "etc." includes the form of Torma, etc. "One-pointed" is an undistracted mind, connected to "Listen." "Mantra and Mudra of Fire Offering" means that mantra and mudra are the collection of mantras and mudras that appear below. Why? "Of Fire Offering" is mentioned, which is related to the activity of fire offering. "Recitation and Samadhi Meditation, etc." means that "Recitation" is a synonym for "Mantra." "Samadhi Meditation" is a synonym for "Form," that is, at the time of fire offering, the deity's samadhi, reciting mantras, and binding mudras, etc., are connected to "Listen." "Before the fire's karma, etc., the wise should know the recitation" means that "fire's karma" is the karma of fire offering. "Wise" is someone who has wisdom, that is, a mantra practitioner who has wisdom should know to recite before the fire's karma, and with the karma of recitation.

земля (sa) 即使是刚刚 очищенный (sbyangs ma thag tu yang),也要努力 соблюдать (’bad de bya) 坛城 (stegs bu’i mtshan nyid)。 坛城 (stegs bu’i mtshan nyid) 的意思是,努力 соблюдать (’bad pas bya) 火炉 (thab khung) 的自性 (rang bzhin)。 这句话的意思是,为了增长 (rgyas pa’i) 的火供 (sbyin sreg),要做十指 (sor bcu pa’i) 的火炉 (thab khung bya ba’o)。 这句话的意思是,为了力量 (dbang gi) 的火供 (sbyin sreg),要做十二指 (sor bcu gnyis pa’i) 的火炉 (me thab bya ba’o)。 这句话的意思是,为了消除 (bsal ba’i) 疾病 (nad la sogs pa) 等的火供 (sbyin sreg),要做十四指 (sor bcu bzhi pa’i) 的火炉 (me thab bya ba’o)。 这句话的意思是,为了生育 (skyed pa dang) 没有出生的 (ma skyes pa) 儿子 (bu) 和孙子 (tsha bo) 等家族 (rigs),以及使 (bya ba’i phyir) 已经出生的 (skyes pa) 能够 сохраняться (gnas par),要做十六指 (sor bcu drug pa’i) 的火炉 (me thab bya’o)。 这句话的意思是,将之前提到的宽度 (rgya’i tshad) 分为 (bgos pa las) 三份 (cha gsum),舍弃 (bor te) 一份 (cha gcig),在深度 (zab su) 上挖掘 (brko zhes bya ba’i don to) 两份 (cha gnyis)。 这是所有 (kun gyi) 火炉 (thab khung) 共同 (thun mong) 的特征 (mtshan nyid do)。

It should also be known that the work of fire offering is to be done before, knowing that this is mutually connected with beginning and end. земля (sa) Even if it is freshly очищенный (sbyangs ma thag tu yang), one should strive to соблюдать ('bad de bya) the characteristics (mtshan nyid) of the mandala (stegs bu). This means that, first, for the sake of fire offering, очистить (sbyangs nas) with the seals etc. that appear below. The meaning of mandala (stegs bu'i mtshan nyid) is to strive to соблюдать ('bad pas bya) the nature (rang bzhin) of the hearth (thab khung). This means that one should be proficient in the characteristics (mtshan nyid) of the hearth (thab khung), thereby excavating (brko bar bya). Starting from eight fingers (sor brgyad) (la sogs brtsams nas ni), one should measure (bzung) how much (ji snyed) up to one cubit (khru gang) (bar du). This means that, starting from eight fingers (sor brgyad) (nas brtsams te), one should measure (gzud ba'am) up to one cubit (khru gang) (bar du). Or, starting from eight fingers (sor brgyad) (nas brtsams nas), how much (ji snyed) means measuring (bzung) up to one cubit (khru gang) (bar du), and starting from one cubit (khru gang) (nas brtsams te), measuring (gzung ngo) how much (ji snyed) up to one thousand cubits (khru stong) (bar du). It can be understood in two ways. The eighth is to destroy ('joms pa ste) the enemy (dgra ni). Such statements combine the classifications (dbye ba) of the dimensions (tshad) of the hearth (thab khung) with the distinctions (bye brag) of the actions (las). Among them, the eighth refers to the dimension (tshad do) of eight fingers (sor brgyad pa). The enemy (dgra) ༄། Destroying ('joms pa) refers to performing явное (mngon spyod) fire offering (sbyin sreg), and that is its meaning (don to). Similarly, the tenth will increase (rgyas par 'gyur). This means that for the sake of increasing (rgyas pa'i) fire offering (sbyin sreg), one should make a hearth (thab khung bya ba'o) of ten fingers (sor bcu pa'i). The twelfth will соберет (sdud) power (dbang du). This means that for the sake of the fire offering (sbyin sreg) of power (dbang gi), one should make a fire pit (me thab bya ba'o) of twelve fingers (sor bcu gnyis pa'i). The fourteenth is likewise pacifying (zhi ba nyid). This means that for the sake of the fire offering (sbyin sreg) of eliminating (bsal ba'i) diseases (nad la sogs pa) etc., one should make a fire pit (me thab bya ba'o) of fourteen fingers (sor bcu bzhi pa'i). The dimension (tshad kyis ni) of the hearth (thab) of sixteen fingers (bcu drug) will cause (byed) the family (rigs rnams) to manifestly ('phel bar) increase (mngon par). This means that for the sake of giving birth (skyed pa dang) to sons (bu) and grandsons (tsha bo) etc. who have not been born (ma skyes pa), and for the sake of сохраняться (gnas par) those who have already been born (skyes pa) (bya ba'i phyir), one should make a fire pit (me thab bya'o) of sixteen fingers (sor bcu drug pa'i). The position (gnas kyis ni) of eighteen fingers (bco brgyad) will cause (par) the family (rigs sogs) of cows (ba lang) etc. to manifestly (mngon par) increase ('phel). In this sentence, position (gnas) refers to the hearth (thab khung ngo). The words (tshig gis ni) such as the family (rigs la sogs) of cows (ba lang) include (gzung ngo) horses (rta) and elephants (glang po) etc. The remainder (lhag ma) is easy to understand (go sla'o). In width (rgyar ni), dividing (bgos pa las) into three parts (cha gsum), excavate (brko bar bya) in two parts (cha gnyis su ni). This means that dividing (bgos pa las) the previously mentioned width (rgya'i tshad) into three parts (cha gsum), abandoning (bor te) one part (cha gcig), excavate (brko zhes bya ba'i don to) two parts (cha gnyis) in depth (zab su). This is the common (thun mong) characteristic (mtshan nyid do) of all (kun gyi) hearths (thab khung). One eighth (brgyad cha yis) of the excavation (brkos pa yi ni). This means one eighth (cha brgyad) of the depth (zab su) of the excavation (brkos pa'i).
