The Fire Offering Ritual of the Glorious Cakrasamvara Mandala, by Krishnacharya. The Fire Offering Ritual of the Glorious Cakrasamvara Mandala. By Krishnacharya. ༄. In Sanskrit: Śrīcakrasaṃvarahomavidhiḥ (श्रीचक्रसंवरहोमविधिः, Śrīcakrasaṃvarahomavidhiḥ, The Ritual of the Glorious Cakrasaṃvara Fire Offering). In Tibetan: Glorious Cakrasaṃvara ༄. The Fire Offering Ritual of the Mandala. Homage to the Bhagavan Glorious Vajra Dakini! Whose body is blue, yellow, red, agate, and green, possessing three eyes. Possessing the faces of the four directions, including the Great Powerful One, wisdom red with three eyes. Two hands hold the skin of the obstructer, two hold the vajra and bell. The other hands hold the eight emblems, protected by supreme bliss. First, of the Cakrasaṃvara Mandala, from the tantra of the Yogini, for the benefit of sentient beings, I will explain the order of the fire offering. The mandala, at the time of accomplishment, is satisfied by the fire offering. Without reciting the secret mantra, it will not be accomplished, and without performing the fire offering, no result will arise. In order to perfectly accomplish all actions, one should begin the actions of the fire offering. Without the actions of the fire offering, no siddhi will arise. Therefore, here, the mantra practitioner should diligently perform the actions of the fire offering. The unsurpassed, inner, and outer, the fire offerings are considered to be three. Others, for pacification and so on, the fire offerings are considered to be four. Among these, first, the unsurpassed will be spoken: The mind itself, without conceptualization, is the characteristic of the sound of the hearth. In the midst of the isolated fire, the five aggregates, such as form, and all mental factors, are burned as fuel. The elements, such as form, are well known as fuel. The lotus is said to be the hearth, the vajra is known to be the pouring ladle. Constantly burning and pouring with seed syllables, one will attain the unsurpassed state. Following the unsurpassed, the fuel of the aggregates and so on is burned. When the fire of wisdom arises, the external burning is selfless. As explained in the Jñānavāda, the ritual of the fire offering is the external order. Mind and mental factors are, the fuel of the aggregates and so on is burned. The blazing of wisdom is considered unsurpassed. Whatever is thought by the mind, ༄. Is considered to be the external fire offering. In the fire of wisdom, the fuel of the aggregates is burned as unsurpassed. Then again, the inner

It should be declared that pacifying is the act of eliminating afflictions, and meditation is the cause of increase. Through the yoga of one's own deity, thus it is done by the mind. Liberated from the karma of birth, for the sake of truly increasing life. Performing the act of burning and offering according to one's wishes is said to be the inner fire offering. Just as through the order of the four times, the four fire offerings are also well explained. Pacifying and increasing, subduing and destroying, should be known. Pacifying is for destroying sins, increasing is for fully possessing merit. Subduing is for meditating on attachment, destroying is for fierce discrimination. Then, again, an external explanation will be made. According to the individual tantras, the fire offering ritual is explained by different acharyas. This is taught in the Yogini Tantra, and I will briefly explain the oral instructions of the wheel mandala. Among them, the hearths are limitless due to the differentiation of sentient beings, become fivefold due to the differentiation of lineages, and become fourfold due to the differentiation of actions. The hearths are thus explained. The pacifying hearth is round and white, the increasing hearth is yellow and has great power, the subduing hearth is red and triangular, and the destroying hearth is crescent-shaped. Starting from the measure of one cubit, up to sixteen cubits, dig according to that measure, making it one's own measure. For a hearth of one cubit, discard four fingers, and praise its diameter with four fingers. Similarly, for one dug half a cubit, everything should be observed, and everything should be made one's own diameter. In the center of the hearth, draw a vajra and a copper knife. Inside the hearth, draw khatvangas and the hand symbols of the Tathagatas in the four directions. On the diameter, draw a garland of copper knives on top of lotuses. Outside the hearth, draw a square four-doored mandala line, bless it with the three wheels, possessing four doors, complete with eight charnel grounds. Just like the hand symbols of the three-wheeled mandala, it should be observed here as well. The eastern door, etc., should be marked with iron hooks, etc. On the outer mandala, lotus forest shoots, garlands and vases, deerskin, three-pointed spears, crescent moon, victory banner, collection of matted hair and eyes, wheel, conch and staff, sword.
