Explanation of Chapter Twenty-one. Explanation of Chapter Twenty-one. Now, even if the signs of death are known, but when it is impossible to avert the bad omens, in order to transfer consciousness upwards, abandon the body, and be reborn in a special place, after explaining all the branches and near branches of the signs of death, in order to show all the branches and near branches of the upward transfer, it is said, "The nature of the nine gates," etc. Among them, the so-called nine gates refer to the nine gates such as the navel. Nature is nature. The so-called "root is manifest" refers to the root of the wide nine gates. The so-called "how to view merits and faults" refers to the faults of these gates going in and out. The so-called "these" refers to these wide gates. Difference is the difference between each other. The so-called "relying on the power of wisdom" refers to relying on the wisdom and freedom of upward transfer, etc. The answer is given as "upward transfer," etc. The so-called "first cultivate oneself" means that in order to achieve the upward transfer, one must first cultivate one's own body with the yoga of tummo, so that the elements reach equality. The so-called "then begin the work" means that after cultivation, one must begin the work of upward transfer. For example, it should be viewed as if the field is well prepared and good seeds are sown, the fruit will surely ripen. That yoga is explained. The so-called "formless," etc. The so-called "abiding in formlessness" refers to the great bliss wheel, because it is the nature of co-emergent joy, it is the nature of the unspeakable. Because form is the nature of what is to be expressed. The so-called "blue great lotus" refers to the inside of the head, the great bliss wheel, the thirty-two-petaled blue lotus. The so-called "dripping like the moon" refers to the white ཧཾ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari: हं, Romanized Sanskrit: haṃ, literal meaning: ㄏཾ) in its center, facing downwards, dripping nectar. The so-called "again abiding in form," etc., indicates the complete enjoyment wheel, in which the so-called form refers to the nature of what is to be expressed, the difference of the complete enjoyment wheel.

Because it is the nature of joy, it resides in the throat and produces sound until speaking. The term "adorned in every way" means that all aspects refer to the thirty-two major marks and eighty minor marks, with the intention of attaining the Sambhogakaya. The term "four parts" refers to Ā, Ī, Ū, and AI, which are the four vowel letters. The term "perfectly endowed" refers to being situated in the eastern directions, etc., and being closely associated with the existing Om The term "the mouth looks down and hangs" is a characteristic of the great bliss wheel, where the mouth looks down relying on the head. Alternatively, the hanging mouth looks down, dripping nectar. Here, the Sambhogakaya wheel is red in color and the seed syllable is white. The term "position," etc., indicates the Dharma wheel, because it is the nature of comprehending all dharmas, so position is wisdom. The place is its support, which is the Dharma wheel. Alternatively, the term "place" is the support of qualities such as the ten powers. The term "always" means engaging until samsara is empty. These two characteristics can also be applied in reverse. The term "like a white moon" means that the wheel is also shown as white in color. The term "consciousness, wisdom, nectar, is the great, blazing goddess" means that consciousness is combined with nectar, and wisdom is combined with descent. Among them, the descent of wisdom refers to entering the wisdom of omniscience through familiarity with those wheels. If asked what it is like, consciousness ༄། །Nectar means that consciousness is the mind. That itself is the immortal nectar. Alternatively, consciousness nectar refers to mindful yogis who live by wisdom and do not die. It is also said: Mindfulness is the place of immortality, carelessness is the place of death. The mindful do not die, the careless always die. The wheel of the serpent was spoken of. The term "having become a support," etc. The term "having become a support" refers to the lotus relying on the navel, because it holds life. The term "completely adorned with moonlight" refers to the rays of light from the bindu of Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Hūṃ) residing in the center of the Dharma wheel.
