In order to show the greatness of it, it is said, "Great wisdom, the best of wisdom," and so on. "Great wisdom" means that such a practitioner benefits sentient beings in both this life and the next, hence it is great wisdom. To take the three kayas as the path is the best of wisdom, which is the greatness of the holy person. "Great scholar" refers to the virtuous spiritual friend, who is skilled in the means of accomplishing the two siddhis. "Great means" refers to having many means, or to taking afflictions as the path, hence it is great means. "Possessing great miraculous power" means that it is both miraculous power and great miraculous power, hence it is great miraculous power. Thus, with the power of the guru and the disciple, afflictions are abandoned in an instant, and wisdom arises in an instant, hence it is great miraculous power. Alternatively, the generation stage and the completion stage are used in the manifestation of the mind, and sentient beings are benefited by great miraculous powers. In an instant, one can liberate oneself and others from samsara, hence one is endowed with power. "Great strength and swiftness" means that strength is effort, which is to cut off afflictions. Swiftness means attaining the result in one lifetime, which is the greatness of the swiftness of the path. In order to show the greatness of the result, it is said, "Great miraculous power, widely known." Thus, with such a special path, the result is quickly produced, hence it is great miraculous power. "Widely known" means that it is widely known in one's own and other traditions. "Great power" means that the result is to take hold of sentient beings who are yogis of the gods. Therefore, it overwhelms the Paramita Vehicle. In order to show that the power of wisdom is great, it is said, "Destroys the great mountain of craving." "Craving" refers to the three realms of existence, which are like a mountain, hence it is a mountain. Just as those who are pressed down by a great mountain have no liberation. Alternatively, craving refers to the four rivers, which mean deep, vast, continuous, and difficult to cross. Because it destroys them, it is a destroyer. For example, "Hard" means possessing the seven qualities of hardness and stability, and so on. What are the seven qualities? They are the great vajra, which is both a vajra and a great vajra, hence it is a great vajra.

It is the Vajrayana. Therefore, the solid and hard Vajrayana can destroy the great mountain of existence. "Fierce" refers to Rudra. "Great and fierce" refers to the wrathful deities with bodies such as four faces and twelve arms, holding weapons, and with extremely terrifying postures that can destroy. It is like a fire and a pile of wood. "Great fear" refers to hell and other places. Hearing or writing about the lifespan, body, and suffering of these places, or even seeing them, one becomes afraid. If one actually obtains these results, why would one not be afraid? Therefore, its causes and effects are all fear, and it can destroy these fears. The protector is the Vajrayana. Whoever understands it is the greatest. Alternatively, the protector is the result. Understanding is the individual of the basis. The supreme is the Vajrayana, which is the path. "Great" refers to its power. By practicing it, this power can be generated. What does this mean? As it is said in the scripture, "The supreme of the great mantra, the Lama." Because there is no other more supreme path, it is the Lama. Therefore, it is the supreme of the great mantra. Alternatively, the Lama is the Lama. Because it arises in dependence on it, it is called that. If this is the case, then should the Paramita Vehicle be abandoned? As it is said in the scripture, "Abiding in the way of the Mahayana." Because it has been said above that it does not contradict the names of the ten Paramitas. However, this is the Dharma of progression. "The supreme of the way of the Mahayana" refers to practicing the ten Paramitas simultaneously as one basis, therefore it is the Dharma of possession, called the supreme. It is not like other schools that require three countless eons and so on. These have explained the Bodhisattva Vajra. Sixth, Explanation of the Bodhicitta Vajra.
