It is said to be pure. Here, when the root downfall that is about to be explained occurs, then those who abide in the seven empowerments will be purified by reciting mantras thirty-six thousand times. The so-called virtuous one refers to abiding in the vows not to be committed again later. When the root downfall occurs to those who abide in the vase secret empowerment, then if it is by the power of ascetic determination, that is, by the power of accumulating merit and discipline, it will be purified, and the master should impose punishment with the determination of asceticism. For the higher ones, there is no purification, which refers to the wisdom-gnosis empowerment. When the root downfall occurs, then there is no purification. What is the reason? For this, the master should not give this punishment, but rely on his own power of merit and discipline, confess his sins, etc., and go to a place blessed by the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, and obtain purification himself. This is the intention of the Buddhas. Those who have committed a root downfall should enter this mandala again for purification, which means that when those who abide in the seven empowerments or the vase and secret empowerments commit a root downfall, then in order to purify them, draw this mandala, and in order not to commit it again, enter the mandala again, etc. After that, after obtaining permission, enter the assembly again, which means that in the lineage, the name of the former elder will become smaller and younger. This is for the sake of vows not to be committed again, and it is the determination of the Tathāgata, and the disciples should not eat the offerings. Now, the root downfalls are explained by "auspicious one" and so on. Here, there are fourteen root downfalls in all tantras. How each of them changes from those, as it is said, disciples, that is, the root downfall of the disciples of empowerment, the first is "holding the rabbit," that is, disturbing the mind of the auspicious master. Here there are two kinds of masters, namely, the supreme master and the non-supreme master. That

Disturbing whose mind also has two aspects, namely for the sake of others and for the sake of oneself. Among them, disturbing the mind for the sake of others is the glorious Lama. Disturbing the mind for the sake of oneself is not a supreme Lama. Here, when a disciple engages in the ten non-virtuous actions, it will disturb the mind of the glorious Lama. From disturbing the mind, it will become a root downfall. A Lama who engages for his own sake does not engage in the ten non-virtuous actions, this is certain. Disobeying his teachings will become the second root downfall, because of doing the ten non-virtuous actions behind the Lama's back. Similarly, being angry with a Dharma brother will become the third root downfall. Whenever one becomes extremely angry with an older or younger Vajra brother who possesses learning. Abandoning loving-kindness will become the fourth root downfall. Here, abandoning loving-kindness has four aspects, namely small, medium, large, and very large differences. Among them, small refers to abandoning loving-kindness for only a moment and then returning, like a line drawn in water. Medium refers to a line drawn in sand being smoothed over by the wind again. Large refers to the earth cracking and then being filled in by summer rain. Similarly, the very large nature of a mind without loving-kindness is fully ripened, for example, different stones will never completely merge into one, or like a ripe fruit not remaining on the tree, completely abandoning loving-kindness towards sentient beings. Therefore, it will become the fourth root downfall, this is certain. Arrow, meaning it will become the fifth root downfall, namely the Bodhicitta degenerating extremely. Here, Bodhicitta is semen, and after it degenerates, it will not become unchanging bliss. Therefore, for those who do not have Suchness and desire Buddhahood through the bliss of the two organs, it will become the fifth root downfall. The sixth is slandering philosophical tenets, philosophical tenets refer to the Suchness chapter of the Prajnaparamita and the Mantrayana path. Slandering it is the sixth root downfall. Mountain, meaning it will become the seventh root downfall, namely speaking to those who are not yet mature and abide in the Shravaka path

The so-called "arrogant giving" refers to the downfall of the teachers from giving great bliss. Among the aggregates and afflictions, the eighth is called "Naga," which refers to placing the aggregates and afflictions, etc., in sickness, cutting off the body, etc., thus becoming the eighth. Again, the ninth is the pure Dharma, which refers to those who do not believe in the Dharma of emptiness. False love refers to saying one thing with the mouth and thinking another in the heart. This false love is the tenth, called "direction." The bliss of separation from names, etc., "Ra" refers to the conceptualization of the Tathagata's suchness, which is the eleventh, called "fierce." To the pure beings, that is, to speak of the faults of the yogis, thus "sun" becomes the twelfth. Abandoning the vows obtained in the assembly circle is another, that is, the thirteenth. Whatever is the abuse of all women, this must be, the "Manu" that is not eaten by ghosts becomes the fourteenth, this is certain. Those who abide in the Vajrayana, that is, for the initiates, this is the certainty of the Vajra-holder. The gross downfalls are many, and for those, the punishment will become very light, this is certain. The twelfth thousand verses of the "Abridged King of Tantras, Extensive Commentary on the Kalachakra, Following the Root Tantra," the "Vimalaprabha," the great summary of empowerment in the mandala, that is, the fourth chapter.
