The Jewel Light. Composed by Naropa. The Jewel Light. Composed by Naropa. In Sanskrit: Ratna Prabha Nama (梵文天城体:रत्नप्रभ नाम,梵文罗马拟音:Ratna Prabha Nāma,Literal meaning in Chinese: Name of Jewel Light). In Tibetan: Called The Jewel Light. Homage to Self-Appearing Vajrasattva. The splendor of the three-fold clear compassion and wisdom, possessing the very essence of the three kayas of wisdom, I bow down in the manner of a swan. Through the compassionate blessings of the ear-transmitted teachings, through the words and blessings of the noble ones, self-appearance is clear like the sun. This illuminating jewel appearance, for all limitless beings, although endowed in an undifferentiated manner, is disturbed by the mind of distorted self-grasping. Like a vase beneath the earth, the jewel blazes forth in appearance. Although the guru of beings has passed away, beings remain in darkness. For the inferior yogi without eyes, the meaning of the essence of light is explained. The jewel, unclear like the depths, is entered by fortunate yogis through faith. The path of seeing without thought is realized, and the fruit of non-action is self-appearance. From the mandala of the three lotuses, possessing the body of the three Sugatas, the fruit of liberation is naturally established. From the ground, without wavering, the self-nature is accomplished. In the Dharmakaya, there is no change. Self-awareness is the very nature of great bliss. Not abiding in causes, it is ultimate. It is the fruit of the Great Vehicle's perfection. It becomes known through the jewel-like speech, the meaning of the essence, which is beyond thought and expression. All expressions are the sphere of the mind. Each one realizes the knowledge that one desires. Seek the fruit through the effort of the path. Abide on the ground of self-desired thought. Place hope with the desire of a physician. The essence of the path is free from desire. Not engaging the mind, abide in self-nature. There is no passing through the peg of awareness. There is no meditation, free from action. The essence without view is known through the self-abiding awareness of the mind. Like rain and also like the essence of bindu. Merely the aspect, the meaning of the supreme and the other supreme. Through the secret of wisdom, to Naropa, the place of the four ear-transmitted lineages. The vajra words are the path of realization. For the sound of action, the mind of diligence, whatever abides in the aspect of excellent effort, having met with the meaning of action, one should know the self-nature of activity. The intention of the Victorious Ones is awareness itself. Seen by the light of the action of the three. The light of the three is the path of the ground. Abiding in the very essence of being free from action. Through the path, the fruit of the path is seen. The fruit is the intention, the mind of the Victorious Ones. Be
