First, purify the mind, with the pride of Hevajra, please the deities, and for the sake of drawing the mandala, the ground should be completely examined, that is, in a very secluded forest, or the home of a Bodhisattva, or the shore of a great ocean, or a place of accomplishment in a charnel ground, or a place where a mandala has been drawn before, or in any beautiful and pleasing place that pleases one's mind, sprinkle with fragrant water, and scatter various flowers. Wherever the place may be, if it inclines to the east and north, it will become the accomplishment of the yogis. If the center is high, then the Vidyadhara of the Great Seal will be obtained. If the north is high, then one will follow the Dakinis. If the east is high, then one will obtain the four and five
