Commentary on the Glorious Untainted Tantra, by Youthful Moon. Commentary on the Glorious Untainted Tantra. By Youthful Moon. In Indian language: Śrī Anāvilanāma Tantra Pañcīka. In Tibetan: Commentary on the Glorious Untainted Tantra. Homage to the Glorious Untainted One! To that Bhagavan, the Untainted One, This difficult commentary, untainted, By Youthful Moon, here, I shall compose as it is. In "Untainted," etc., "taint" is the taint of attention. That is, the aggregates associated with ignorance, meaning the habit of ignorance. "Untainted" means that by abandoning the taint of attention, the habit of ignorance is eliminated. This is a synonym for abandoning all sins along with their habits. Thus, one should strive to completely abandon the obscurations of afflictions and knowledge, along with their habits. Being associated with the habit of ignorance is the basis of all faults. If one does not have the habit of ignorance, how can other habits of faults arise in them? If that is not there, what fault is there? Therefore, "Untainted" means that all two obscurations and their habits are absent. That taint is also the glorious Vajrasattva, showing what should be said, and showing the perfection of one's own purpose. "Desiring benefit" means that obtaining the state of Vajradhara is necessary, because the Bhagavan has made beings Vajradhara. They are said to be the perfection of benefiting others. That Untainted One is also shown by the pervasiveness of Untainted, such as the eight distinctions of non-appearance. Among them, taint is all that is focused on the proliferation of the three realms. Since that is not present in this, it is non-appearance, which means non-proliferation, which is a synonym for non-apprehension. Not non-appearance means that wisdom itself is not the nature of appearance. Or, in this, "non-appearance non-appearance" is a synonym. It is not present in that, and that itself is not there, nor is it coming as its cause.

It is explained in three ways. 'Without comparison' means that there is no second measurable equal to it, so there is no close establishment as a metaphor, and there is no similarity or equality. It is the meaning of 'without comparison.' Because there is nothing to measure beyond it, the meaning of 'without comparison' is that there is no second equal to it. It goes by its own nature, because it is the nature of what goes. If it has a metaphor? 'Unspeakable' means that it is not something that can be spoken, because it is not the realm of words, and it transcends the object of thought and discernment, because it is the self-nature body of self-pure wisdom. 'Unspeakable' does not mean that there is no complete speech, but it means that it cannot be spoken and cannot be indicated. It is not the nature of the object, it means that it is not even the object of the Buddha's wisdom. Because it cannot be known. Not being the nature of the object is also because this is without the nature of the object, it is the meaning of holding. Because there is no confusion. Because there is no object to be taken, there is no taker, and the taker is confused. The nature of self-awareness is said by the Blessed One to be the nature of non-confusion. Starting from patience, the essence is immaculate, without dependence, so all the faults of the essence, obscurations are all abandoned, it is pacified, it is the meaning of complete purity from the beginning. This shows the body of the co-emergent Vajradhara. There are also two types of adventitious impurities: the impurity of afflictions and the impurity of the obscuration of knowledge. Among them, abandoning the obscuration of afflictions is called selflessness, which means complete abandonment. Abandoning the obscuration of knowledge is called purity, which means complete attainment. These are the Blessed One's distinctions between abandonment and attainment, divided into two, showing the complete fulfillment of one's own benefit. The characteristics should be examined. Abandoning these is the meaning of non-discrimination, and the characteristics are also the nature of what is examined by the things that can be expressed, so it is examination, it is abandoning these. It itself is not by anything…
