The Teaching on the Arising Yoga of the Two Stages The Teaching on the Arising Yoga of the Two Stages The third explanation of the fifth chapter: Teaching the arising yoga of the generation stage. Having explained the completely pure explanation, now the conduct will be explained. "For the sake of abiding in enlightenment, for the benefit of the Buddha's sons," this shows the purpose. "The very Vajradhara without a body," is mentioned, transforming the ordinary body of conceptualization, realizing the body of clear light, hence it is the very Vajradhara. "The supreme Prajñāpāramitā," means realizing the nature of wisdom, emptiness, as it is. "All dharmas arise from this," means realizing that all causes and dharmas are like illusions, which is the means. That which arises from means and wisdom is conduct. What is its characteristic? "That very conduct is unsurpassed, conduct that is free from all thoughts," is mentioned. The nature of being free from thoughts after realizing the essence as illusion and emptiness is conduct. By enjoying the five desirable qualities for the sake of sentient beings, just as a lotus grows from mud but is not stained by the faults of the mud, one is not stained by the faults of samsara, hence it is unsurpassed conduct. Then, "to be explained," means that after the assembled retinue has made offerings, praises, and requests, the conduct is kept in mind and then explained. This is the concise teaching. Having explained the concise teaching, the extensive explanation is: "The waves of old age and death churn," it is said. Saving all sentient beings from the great fear of the turbulent ocean of birth, old age, sickness, and death is the conduct of generation and completion. What is it like? "The safe one is the boat for beings," it is said. Just as merchants are saved from a river, it is a boat because it saves through conduct. What fruit does it bring, like reaching dry land? "The best of quickly accomplishing siddhis," it is said. It makes one reach dry land through the three siddhis: worldly, common, and supreme. Having thus shown the following, the turning back is shown: "The abode of all pleasing qualities," this is for the benefit of others.

The perfect cause and, the mind is born of precious jewels. It is said that in order to accomplish the self-benefit of the perfect continuum, if this is lacking, then the auspicious cause of the perfect self and other benefits of the Vajra fruit, all the merits arising from the immaculate, the bliss of accomplishment with excellent limbs will not arise, therefore, yogis should practice this incomparable, supreme means of bestowing supreme fruit, yogis who desire liberation should practice, this is saying the necessity. Thus, after showing the practice from the positive and negative aspects, the fruit is shown: the enemies of the gods, the hundred offerings, etc., are mentioned. The enemies of the gods are the six-faced child. The hundred offerings are Indra. The enemy of the three cities is Ishvara. Brahma, etc., refers to including Vishnu, etc. Those who offer the lotus of their feet are the Sugatas, that is, those who possess the supreme position of the five wisdoms. By what is this fruit obtained? By the practice of correcting sins, it is quickly obtained. Thus it is said. After showing the necessity and the fruit, now show the vow to speak: The glorious Vajrasattva's, inconceivable realm, the yogi meditates on, the conduct of Avadhuti is explained. Thus it is said. The inconceivable realm is the purity of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, free from conceptualization, the realm of worldly wisdom is the fruit. In this realm, when the signs of stability are obtained by meditating on the generation stage and the completion stage, because the illusion of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas is shown, it is the conduct of Avadhuti. Avadhuti, refers to the habits of the three realms being faults. A, refers to negation, it is the conduct of being free from the faults of the three realms. Saying, refers to keeping in mind and speaking. Thus, after showing the vow, now explain the practice of the vase empowerment of the generation stage, the practice of the sole hero and the representative, after abandoning all conceptualizations, practice the extremely secret vows. This is saying, in the generation stage, seeing the signs and touching
