The Twelfth Spike. Explaining the practice of the generation stage, which is the means for directly realizing the perfection stage for those of middling and inferior faculties. The Twelfth Spike. Explaining the practice of the generation stage, which is the means for directly realizing the perfection stage for those of middling and inferior faculties. The Bhagavan Vajrasattva is accomplished, and other siddhis also have the previous mandala. It is spoken for the purpose of explaining the mandala to be drawn, which is similar to the mandala to be meditated upon. Starting from "Then," and so on. "Therefore" means that without this, there are no siddhis. The so-called "Great Mandala" is great because it has the nature of cause and effect, and because it possesses qualities that transcend the world, so it is great and it is also a mandala. Bodhicitta is as previously stated. Because of particularly believing in its essence, the mandala of colored powders is also called the Great Mandala. Therefore, it is supreme. What clarifies it is "Vajra," and so on. The Vajra emptiness is the realm here, that is, the nature, so it is the Vajra realm. It is the Vajradhara, the nature of Bodhicitta. In order to clarify it and to believe in its nature, the appearance similar to it is said to be so. Or, if the Bodhicitta is the Vajra mandala, then it is not the nature of the six lineages. What is said is "Vajra," and so on. That mandala is only the nature of the six lineages. Because it is similar to the Vajra realm and the Vajradhara, and because it possesses the taste of mastery, it is said to be "to be done," therefore the appearances, that is, where Vairochana and others are, is said to be so. Therefore, in the "Vajra realm," the name here is only extensively spoken in the tantras such as the Compendium. The so-called "truly practiced" is through completely holding the land, etc., as in the ritual. The Mahamudra is the body of the deity. Where it is completely held, how will it change? It means that whether it is practiced as in the ritual, or practiced quickly, it has the yoga of the supreme master. This is, that is, Vajra.

It is the mandala of Jye ying. How should the mantra practitioner recite the mantra? One should contemplate that all positions of the mandala are for the purpose of dispelling obstacles. It is new and has not been used for a long time, so it is firm. Skillfully combined, that is, skillfully wrapped and made into a thread of wisdom. Skillfully measured, that is, the length of the mandala is twice its width. Beautiful, that is, having five colors and no knots. The wise one, that is, understands the rituals of the mandala and is skilled in drawing and other works. As it is, that is, measured by the difference in size such as one cubit. What is said is: starting from one cubit, up to a thousand cubits. That's it. Ability, that is, to determine the ability to possess the tools for questioning, practice, and so on. Even so, it can eliminate the determination of the size of the mandala for those who are not skilled. Mandala is a wheel, and the wheel is called a mandala. Because it has been said like this. The equality of Buddha and non-Buddha, that is, from the non-inequality arises a quadrangle, that is, four corners. The doors refer to the eighth part of the wheel. The size of the stable is three times the size of the door. Completely consistent with the four lines. Make it equal with the lines in the four directions and the diagonal lines. In all places, that is, four places. At the junction of the door and the lintel, that is, eight places, the junction of the door and the lintel is the outside. Precious vajra, that is, placing the vajra on top of the jewel on the half-moon shape. That refers to the outer mandala. Like a wheel, it is round, that is, in its center, the wheel is completely round, drawn from all aspects, as it is said. That is also half of the outer mandala. Town, that is, the mandala is drawn again. Vajra thread, that is, the thread of the blue vajra string, completely separated by those, that is, the vajra string from the edge of the inner mandala to the middle of the two circular lines is this. Wheel pillar and jewel pillar and lotus pillar and sword pillar, that is, eight pillars.
