The Second Chapter. The Second Chapter. A detailed explanation of the First Chapter. Now, starting from the chapter on the empowerment of Bodhicitta in the Second Chapter, in order to benefit sentient beings and to show the ritual of its mandala, it is said, "From then on," and so on. The term "from then on" refers to the beginning of all tantras, after the Great Secret, that is, at the end of showing it. The term "should be truly explained" means that the true Dharma should be explained. The term "for the practitioners" means for the sentient beings who appear now. The term "for the benefit" refers to the Dharma that is the nature of cause and effect, and is not the same as other non-admiring Dharmas and so on. Therefore, this is the meaning of "for what." The knowledge of the disciple's empowerment is that there are two types of empowerment here: mundane and supramundane. Among them, the mundane is the breath of the Tathagata, which also has ten aspects. The supramundane is the breath of Vajradhara, which is secret, wisdom, prajna, and supreme. Therefore, the breath of the Tathagata accumulates the accumulation of merit and becomes a vessel of the holy Dharma. Similarly, the breath of Vajradhara, by the power of the accumulation of wisdom, will attain Buddhahood. In this way, the nature of inner and outer is being explained, which is for the sake of cause and effect, and "by what" refers to the ritual of the mandala. The ritual also, the word "also" indicates the ritual of receiving empowerment. The term "should be shown" means should be explained. The term "first is the deity" and so on, refers to after the disciple has requested. In this way, first the teacher and the disciple should observe each other well, not relying on themselves, striving to accomplish the benefit of themselves and others, and for the disciple who possesses these qualities, the teacher should also show compassion. After that, when all the necessary items are obtained, the teacher goes to the place of the mandala, makes offerings with fragrant flowers and so on, and performs incense burning and scattering. After that, the teacher should manifest the yoga of the deity he desires, and at that time, for the vase and so on.

First, activities such as digging and sowing seeds should be carried out to ensure that the earth goddess resides especially. Then, one should pray to her, offer flowers and other offerings, ask for forgiveness, and mentally invite her to ascend into the sky. After that, dig about a cubit deep. Remove bones and other debris, dig about an elbow's height, fill it with water, and observe. Walk a hundred steps and then return to observe. If the water does not change in the slightest, then choose that day. If there is a slight change, then abandon it. Why? Because many mistakes will be made. Again, when there are none of these mistakes, then fill it with soil from the mountain itself. If there is too much soil, then the siddhi of the mantra will be accomplished. If there is too little, then there will be no siddhi. If they are equal, then peace will be attained. Similarly, the guru should focus on samadhi, perform activities such as reciting mantras, and offer sacrifices, placing vases and other objects. Then invite the earth goddess and offer sacrifices to her. Through the mantra "From Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ,hūṃ,हूँ,seed syllable) arises the blazing vajra," visualize the earth goddess dissolving into the location of that mandala. At that time, from Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ,hūṃ,हूँ,seed syllable) completely transforms into various vajras. Therefore, one should act according to its nature. At that time, abundant tormas should be given to the directional guardians. Again, the guru should arrange protective wheels and other objects in the form of the three samadhis. After that, the practitioner should draw a mandala as large as they desire. Regarding its location, statements such as "garden" are easy to understand. "Emptiness" refers to the meaning of a cemetery. Again, regarding the meaning of faults, it is said here that the root of all dharmas is ignorance. From this, the five skandhas arise. Therefore, it is diverse. Therefore, the yogi should purify their own body. Beginners should visualize the deity with form. Therefore, the symbol of Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ,hūṃ,हूँ,seed syllable) indicates that the mind is focused on one point, meaning that the mind vajra and the non-dual wisdom vajra become one. At that time, visualize the five chakras each of the ten life-force channels, etc., of the left and right nostrils.
